... Literally no one we've seen on screen has attempted social bullying on a first year due to ratings (not counting Shuri). Besides, it seems "low" ranks don't even get shown on forums, IIRC. If it only said (1), people would think it's either a bug or realize that she's the number 1 Valk (primarily Shuri, because she's already seen some of Anna's capabilities and she was on par with her in pretty much anything).

So I don't see social bullying as a viable result of that. Curiosity or perhaps worry over forum not working properly (not to mention that the Valkyrie Core of the Perth academy would probably get an order to keep that shit confidential).

So you'd have to jump through some hoops to get to that result. Probably literally everyone in the academy with high rank being busy so they couldn't issue the order in time (I'm ignoring the fact that this is probably automatic).

Meh. It's not like writing that is really realistic anyway, but I'm sure someone can come up with something (or I'd just ignore it and read it for the lulz reactions).

Who, me?

Sorry for blowing my top in the PM, dood. Not in the best of states to discuss something at length.

Nah, one guy from my HS and a couple English profs. And really, I don't mind. Hopefully it took your mind off of everything else?

...Ah, shit, you're right. With Anna's lack of social skills and "humans must not fight humans"-mentality.

Nah. We'd fact-check them and then inform them that they're wrong. In the end, though... We might get confused, or they might manage to trigger us, or they might just go "wat." The fact, though, is that they know we're an ace. A combat rating of 1 simply doesn't jibe with that.

The (1) isn't a combat score. It's the priority that valk has for getting a 300 frame. A valk with (452) would be the 452nd person to receive one of the 300 frames, so if a 300 valk died and for whatever reason (301) through (451) were unavailable, the valk with (452) would receive the available frame and join the 300.

It doesn't work for the omake, but I would just have (1) without a combat rating at all and have people making the mistake that her combat rating is actually 1, because the alternative is so far out of comprehension... e: that might be the subject for a different alternate omake, actually...

I know no one would bully Anna, but if there was a misconception of her rank and not knowing of her ace-status, she would be prime target for bullies.

Not really. She is quiet, but she does not take shit from people. She is willing to defend herself or others, she just won't attack other people.
Except that she'd have no idea how to handle the situation with her lack of social skills. She'd had no idea how to defend herself from psychological bullying, but anyone trying physical bullying would find it useless.

Kellogo - How powerful is 'X'
I put something together with the spreadsheet owrtho made. Avatars are hard. I'll lazily claim that Off-Topic doesn't show signatures for anyone.

You could make an upper bound from the 300 priority changes. Every Ace has access to their own priority and many of the highest ranked valks have a public ranking. Could someone crunch the data here?

There's a lot of churn on those lists. Military intelligence is still an oxymoron after all. While the highest 300 ranks tend to be steady, if they weren't they wouldn't have that high rank, once you leave the top you see fluctuations on the instantaneous priority. Outdated testing, weapon damage, injury, reconfigurations, being assigned to the Moon, it all gets reflected in the instantaneous number. Tall, Dark, and taciturn could fit anywhere in that and you would never narrow it beyond "the bottom 80% of Aces".

Has there been a shift in the top ranks? I heard she's been sandbagging.

Could you point to something to justify that? Tall and quiet hasn't done that much better than Miss Golden.

I've been keeping a record of the reported 300 priority changes. #3, #11, and #18 have their ranking public (U-NO-Y I'm not naming names). There was a drop on #3 while the rest stayed steady during December. I think there was an injury in one of the top 10 during the Fairbanks Offensive (See the Type-Zero Speculation thread), but Fast Response and Zero Suppression kept flights at full (Strategic movements in December kept the breakneck pace). It's vaguely possible that our lady of mystery is in the top three and someone between 4 and 10 was injured. So there's an upper bound for you, #1.

Wing Commander Song is #3 right now. Your upper bound doesn't reach the top.

Everyone public in the top 50 jumped up a rank yesterday. Someone's trying to erase tracks. I assert my upper bound is valid.

This was more fun when you had the "I want to believe" avvie. You are claiming that your secret database of 300 priority changes let you spot a cover-up, a cover-up that is keeping us from seeing that Bread-Chan is the strongest valk there is. If she was that strong the UN would have her deployed somewhere, regardless of how old she is.

I'll eat my shoes if she isn't pulled out of Perth once she's mended. She was deployed against Type Zeros when she was thirteen!

It can't be a cover-up. The instantaneous numbers are a direct reflection of how Aces can expect to be deployed. You and I can expect to get data relevant to our potential deployment, data that is as accurate as possible. Claiming that this data is invalid to hide one girl is a bigger whopper than saying she's the strongest Valkyrie.

In Perth academy? In the last couple of days? Bring back the "I want to believe" avatar, the new cadets deserve to be warned. Someone might see your 300 priority and think you're trustworthy.

For anyone who isn't aware of Mari's habits; she claims she's collected public data that supports a 'sensitive' conclusion, then refuses to share her data while claiming that she would get blocked. Of particular note is that she engaged in wild Type-Zero speculation up until the day she achieved Elite status, then clammed up about it when she actually got access to the relevant UN records. Now, like then, she's arguing for the most ridiculous conclusion on the filmiest grounds. Not because she knows anything, just because she thinks it's fun to fuel rampant speculation.

I think this conversation has run it's course. I'll unlock this thread tommorow, and you can talk about a topic that isn't Anna Sanchez (You're not fooling anyone). Remember that you don't deserve other people's personal info, they may reveal or conceal as they wish.
