I'm not comfortable leaving the fate of Extraplaner weir woods at the hands of a dispel magic. I mean if we can get away with it sure. But we are obligated to protect every tree.

Honestly just one weirwood could probably create a stable biome just fine on its own.

With infinite water and sunlight as second and third level spells the thing only needs dirt.

Which is...
I don't know of an infinite dirt spell?

WELP. Good work everyone!

I dont even know.
Water outright isn't a concern anymore. Sunlight is the only thing we need to secure.

I don't think it'll be a problem, personally. A lack of sun is far from an immediate death, and even with that in mind Goldfish has figured out how to get our CL to 23 or something. Good luck to whoever wants to dispel a permanancied Daylight spell of ours.

As for protection -- the first extraplanar tree will be in the Xorn cavern. That's pretty much in our backyard thanks to the Terminus. Defending the tree is trivial for us.

I mean I guess we can do that but I am still somewhat partial to making trees that can just grow underground. Although if we are doing this as a temporary measure then I am fine with it.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

@One Autumn Leaf I have to ask.

What in the nine hells would be a permanent measure? We can't exactly put an actual sun down there.
Watch me~

Though in all seriousness I don't particularly mind as long as we can just have them grow underground by themselves with no sunlight later on. One tree is fine but once we start expanding, and we will be doing that, I would rather not enchant daylight into every item just so our trees can grow and live. Cutting out the middle man and all that.

Temporary measure only. We need as much time as possible for the Old Gods to get used to being outside of Prime Material. The sooner we grow that tree the better. Later on we can complete research on how to make weirwoods no longer need sunlight to grow.

What the trees need to be safe isn't sunlight that can't be dispelled. It's guards to prevent it from being dispelled, or protect against enthusiastic would-be lumberjacks for that matter.
A contingent of Leshys should be standard for extraplanar trees.

The bigger problem is making a bunch of Fire-Immune Leshys for the future trees in the Plane of Fire. Fortunately it shouldn't be too hard to figure out since we've already bound fire to the weirwoods themselves.

So anyone got any idea for what combination of abilities we would want with symbionts,

@Azel, @DragonParadox, I propose the Seru. Without the Legaia lore of the Mist in place, a symbiotic creature that acts as a weapon/armor providing bonuses to the bearer in the form of elemental effects to martial arts. Non-sapient and utterly incapable of surviving on it's own, unless we make it a Ra-Seru.

And, at the expense of a turn action, spell slots, or temp attribute drain, can be Summoned to perform a single Super Attack.

We can has Summoners? :V

Man, I miss the summoner version from Pathfinder's playtest - you could have the eidolon out AND summon monsters at the same time. Which made for so much fun, flying around on the back of a winged wolf-thing summoning hordes on the ground and laying down cover fire while my mount did flyby reach attacks+tripping.

Still salty about that nerf. :(

Much as I like the pathfinder summoner, I would have to argue against having the chained (default) version here because their spell list does odd things to crafting, since they have a lot of good spells at a discount.

Well for eventual study I can't see why a Fungus Forge wouldn't be able to achieve growth from organic matter.

That is kind of small potatoes at this point.

Synthesist would be cool, but as is might be too much for this quest.

then again

Given what we've seen monster hit die probably wouldn't matter to much.

In other news, in light of pretty much everyone in Essos and most of Westeros getting a view of what Viserys and his ever-advancing machinations are like with our propaganda machine in full swing:

@DragonParadox @Azel So when people that don't believe or follow any God's in particular; their souls have a chance to be diverted to a hell of some sort?

I thought there was an update that confirmed when people die they just vanish into the ether.

Many get lost in the eddies of the Astral Sea and fade, they are the lucky ones.

Hey @DragonParadox, what is the Sea domain? Apparently Merlin King clerics can have it, but Google isn't telling me what it is and what power it grants.

The ocean domain, sea just sounded better when I wrote up.

@DragonParadox good morning!

and for me good night

[] Essence of Life
-[] There will be a great need for weapons and equipment of supernatural potency in the coming years, perhaps the abundance of corpses can be put to use in the fungus forge? (Progress ??, Cost ??? IM, requires Vee, Requires Livewood sample, and Bronzewood sample,)

Once completed this action would allow us too...

1. Store, create, and use "recipes" for biotechnology (grafts, Symbionts , and certain creature's)
2. Use biomass to create symbionts similar to standard magical or mundane items.
3. Reduce difficulty of future fleshcrafting research projects

Create creatures are plant type, true neutral, usually not sentient

So whats everybody think? Gold cost? Time cost? Material or companion cost?
@Crake Why are you magnus the red?
