I joined very late into this quest (just this year) and stopped reading some point after finally conquering Westeros, and I just want to say a few things. God I love this quest despite all it's faults. The best one on this site for me hands down with its expansive cast of characters and the many entertaining arcs we've been through with them. Kinda sad to see it end, but all things must come to an end and I just want to thank you @DragonParadox for making this quest, it was quite the ride even if I was late to the party.

I've been lurking trying to catch up with the quest for a while now, just wanted to say now that everything's coming to a close that this has been absolutely incredible. For all the flaws there might have been, DragonParadox has managed something so impressive over the years. As sad as endings can sometimes be, especially for something everyone has committed so much time and heart into, I'm excited to be able to be along for the ride for the next one. I can only imagine how much valuable experience a 5 million word quest has given everyone, and being able to have a fresh start with everything we've learned is very exciting. DragonParadox please don't be anything less than extremely proud of what you've created over the past few years, there aren't many people in the world who could have done it as well as you did.

So, I've been gone for... three months-ish? What has happened in my absence? Last I read, we've vibe-checked Tywin.

Also, the forum looks a bit weird... as is the writing platform.

Well damn, that's some news to catch up to.

It's strange that as I start a new stage of my life a big part of the last one ends, or perhaps it's fitting? IDK I'm not a philosopher, there's a reason Richard is my favorite character.

Anyways, DP I give my non-existent hat to you(yes give, because you deserve much more than just a tip), you and the players created the best ASoIaF fanfic that has ever existed, and I'm going to miss it (and plagiarise it in my dnd worlds) very much. Seeing "Dragon Paradox has posted a new threadmark" almost every day never failed to make me smile.

Well I don't really know what else to say that hasn't been said already, so yeah. I'll definitely read your next quest (in fact I already have it opened) and catch up with your WH fantasy one.

It was an honor reading, lurking and occasionally posting and interacting with you guys, and while there definitely were very rough parts, I hope everyone can remember this fondly. See you in the next thread!

GLORY TO THE IMPERIUM AND THE IMPERATOR VISERYS, MAY HIS RULE BE ETERNAL.

An end of an era. I had a lot of mixed feelings about this quest, and despite a few attempts to get involved it'd invariably drive me away again, but it cannot be denied the massive role it played in my life for a decent period of time and how it introduced me to this site in the first place. That being said, it was past time ASWAH was let out back and put down, and I'm glad everyone can move on now.

Oh, the quest is ending, i guess I can stop telling myself I will return one day, i have no idea what particular issue made the quest not that fun to write anymore but i cannot complain as the quest also slowly drifted away from my area of interest over time.

I always enjoyed the writing, the discussion and the people participating in it, and while it's sad to see something this grand ending i am also looking forward to DP's next project.

So after three months of reading through every single threadmark, I get to the quest actually ending.

Damn.

Thank you anyway for what has to probably been one of the longest binge reads of my life. I am sad I never got to actually participate, but the Targ fan in me is still happy to have another therapy read every time I'm reminded how GOT ended.

I wasn't here in the beginning but I've been following from at least halfway through and is by far the longest thing I've ever read yet it always had me coming back. Owlcat probably owes you at least a hundred bucks cause I didn't even know Pathfinder existed but now I'm a fan of the rpgs at least because of your story. It's sad to see the story end but what you've already written is a monumental achievement and I hope you look back on this story fondly even as you move on to greener pastures and you can bet I'll be binging and lurking that story too.

Hmm,I admit,DnD mechanic scare me
But I usually read this quest for inspiration for my web novel.

This is problem that I can see that the world will break if wizard have high enough level.

I've mostly been a lurker but this quest has been part of my life for years so it is sad to see it go. @DragonParadox you and the rest of the thread did an amazing thing here.

I don't know if I missed it but was there ever an epilogue or any behind the scenes notes posted?

This has been a great quest and while I never really participated I have lurked since Bravos, Viserys sure has come a long way since then and it's a bit sad to see it end as all things must.
@DragonParadox Thanks for literal years of entertainment, this has seen me through some bad times in my life so I'm sorry this became work for you, and I hope you have more fun with the next one.

It's too bad some of the omakes are going to be left unfinished too, I was waiting on the next 'Unkindly Scattered' and the worm crossover, those were a blast.
