Meizhen's going to be fine on her own--and as I said, the Dragon isn't going anywhere--the social consequences of punching down against the other production things are going to show up if we do it after breakthrough.

Like, even if "Everyone knows it had to be Ling Qi", if we do it while we're still Second Realm, it's just "Welp, sucks to be you". It doesn't hurt our rep very much. If we do it after we're Third Realm, we stop being a daring phantom thief and become a bully then--for one more additional success on the Tests I might point out.

Just because other people are willing to punch down on us doesn't mean that we should fall to their level, especially for people who haven't offended us. The social connotations involved with us being Third Realm and being "Definitely responsible" are far nastier than "Everyone knows" that a second realm burgled them. The former is distasteful, the second is "Well, they knew they had a peer who was super good at sneaking around, they should have had better defenses then"

I'd rather have Meizhen than the puzzle box—that isn't going anywhere. But aside from that this has everything else I want. I want to get these favors to Not!Kabuto out of the way. We've already kept him waiting for a month.
 
People wondering about meridians, here's our current setup (minus the Heart we should still have a roll for):


Basically as Arkeus said, with the missing Heart we're at 25, the Arm for AC will be the 26th.

I'm weary of going for a 27th since it's we're already at 4.5% of failure, and another will be 7% (or 11% failure total), assuming GF meridian training is even allowed. Especially when the breakthrough will likely give us +5 autos, which should significantly improve our odds.

While I'm talking about math, if we take into account this week's Heart meridian, next week's Highsun, TRF training (at 62 dice), and an Arm meridian, then we're at 98.9% to get peak phys just from that. (anydice code: AnyDice)

If we did it right away, 1x being enough probably would have been fine. As things stand, we let it stretch long enough that doing the bare minimum would make it look extraordinarily begrudging. Not something that builds a good working relationship--and having a decent working relationship with an information broker is a very good idea in the long run.

2x I'd be willing to accept, but I want to go all the way--we certainly took long enough getting to this.

@PrimalShadow I am not convinced. I'd appreciate it if you didn't switch Dragon with Favors, although I will probably still vote for your plan provided no alternatives show up if you do switch.
 
Everyone, Final Countdown has been revised.

I've removed our Leg Meridian training on the suggestion of the Discord, and the numbers for the meridian training not being promising without reducing the chances of capping TRF, and in exchange, I've added the Dragon Research option.

So we can have our cake and eat it too.

Because the multi attacker bonus always struck me as a fairly important part of the worldbuilding as being a big reason that the stronger couldn't simply stomp everyone into the ground and had to pay at least some sort of attention to the feelings of the people/their subordinates as a whole. Because a decently large group of (1 realm) lower levels could overwhealm a higher realm without making it virtually certain that all or most would die in the attempt.

If a mere late yellow can get an art to negate this basic building block of the world * a lot of the worldbuilding makes much less sense, and frankly makes this world a lot less interesting. Because we'd revert very quickly to traditional Xianxia where people can pay zero attention to anyone even slightl weaker than them.

*He hasn't even turned it into a 'must be the same realm, rather than a realm below as me to apply' he's just flat out negated it.

Sorry, that was super unclear, his art negated your bonus to the multiattacker penalty. While you can't get rid of it entirely, there are arts that make it higher or lower.

I actually prefer to do the Fu favor before breakthrough because of the downpunching argument but I would want a 2 or 1 instead of the three, mostly because I think it will have less blowback with Suyin.

Accident, let me adjust.

But yeah, of our training actions, the one we can most afford to dump is the Leg Meridian. SCS can't be trained until we're fully broken through anyway, and the odds of fully breaking through in one week are slim anyway. Slipping a Leg Meridian training in after we're broken through spiritually (And thus, can shift to using YSS as our fillers instead of RSS), would work.
