Forge of Destiny(Xianxia Quest)

Oh right. Surprised no one thought about that. Of course going into Sun's fortress and getting caught would be a mark on her honor. And it would be us doing the spitting, not Cai. Welp, might as well take our lumps. Something tells me running away would be the worse option.

[X] ...Stay and fight. If she wants a duel she can have one. You aren't weak anymore.

... So problems. Ahh.. Fight? I guess?

Zeqing is certainly the best choice here. Fighting one on one won't be a complete stomp, especially with all the stuff we hid from Sun, but I don't want to show our full arsenal just yet. Also, our chances of winning are slim to none.

Going down might work, but Ling has a point about Sun preparing countermeasures. Which is why Zeqing is probably the best option.

[X] Bound up the cliffs, heading for the black pool. Zeqing will be waiting, and Sun Liling is no match for her. It's a long run though.

@yrsillar Could we deploy max range Mist and instead of attacking, enter stealth? As to mask where we run to?

I doubt that's going to work. She has to have prepared a dispel for our mist, and her dice is likely better than ours. Not to mention her hunting skill set basically requires her to have high perception for tracking. I think just spending all our efforts to run away is probably for the best. Our defence is good enough to last a few rounds with her.

Hmm is it possible to start an avalanche using Ling Qi's flute if Sun Liling is in front then she should be hit first and it should wash away whatever preparations she has made down the mountain.

I'm worried that if we lose she'll take our dress.

Assuming that she's at least level 2 green that means she still gets 4 autosuccesses over us, or 2 if she's still level 1.

Nope, nope, not fighting her unless we have to. Time to run awaaayyy!!!

She can fly.
... She wants to loot our dress?
Yes. Our flying dress is too annoying. She wants to strip us and probably give it to a minion, but I don't think she has many notable female minions though.

Fuck it. If it's not a complete curbstomp we'll probably have about as good of a chance to run once the fight's been going on for a while.

Yeah, uh, no shit we will lose our dress if we give her the chance. She wants to neutralize our ability to sneak around and fuck up her plans just by existing and forcing her to introduce extra-security measures that apparently don't even work and then there is a distinct possibility of Ling Qi eventually sneaking in somewhere actually important, ala Renshuu.

There is not too many ways how she can do that. She will fuck up the dress, she probably will capture us for a number of weeks, and she probably not aiming for crippling injury or murder.

What? No way. We fight her a while, she can aoe the fuck out of us and snare us and probably injure us. We wanna run, best to run from the start. We can't beat her, and when we lose, she'll take our dress.

-[] Before running open with FVM+Despair of the Lost, try entering stealth on the run if possible.

Disregard that, Elegy isn't instant.

Back at the fort, when I was still worried about pursuit, I thought that one of our possible escape routes might be " lead them up onto the frozen peak, play your music and let them wander alone in the snowfields until they freeze."

We learned to use FVM to push back Zeqing's snow, I wonder if we could do the reverse, summoning that same icy isolation.
Actually, I'll just ask:
@yrsillar
Does Ling Qi think that is even an option?

For people voting to fight Liling - whichof our arts do you imagine making it through her defenses?

The main problem I have with this option is that it feels presumptuous to expect Zeqing to help us. I think she would help if we reached her, but I'm not sure.

Though, I can't really see a better option. If we fail to reach her it's a fight anyway.

No way we are going to win a fight, and Zeqing is the one thing she might not expect. We also have fairly ridiculous speed: around 40 with GC+OtW.

Last time we saw her fight was Week 20, and these were her dice rolls.
Code:
Red Thorn Death Flight
Dex+Spear+Passives+Equip+RTDF. 26 dice. +4 auto
7 3 7 6 8 8 1 10 6 5 4 6 1 10 9 3 9 6 3 9 5 1 6 3 6 2. 9 successes. +4 auto

6 damage dealt. 2 aggravated, 2 unblockable. 2 blocked by 4 qi

Sun Liling
Dex+Spear+Passives+Impaling Thorn+Equips+Extra Arms- mist. 28 dice +4 auto
3 4 6 10 3 7 4 8 7 8 7 9 8 8 3 3 9 4 4 2 9 1 1 3 10 10 1 3. 13 successes +4 auto

9 damage dealt. 3 blocked by six qi
Armor pierced
3 aggravated, 3 lethal
Those aren't relevant anymore on either side, and are going to make us have too many assumptions. Ling Qi currently would have 31 defence dice on the first attack, and 28 on the second... but she probably has at least +10 dice.
