We didn't walk into the trap- we are still outside of it. Knowing our friends are being besieged isn't a 'bad thing', and at worse it ties up 9 late second realms and make sure GF group stay cohesive with us.
Most likely, though, it's a trap against Han Jian and Han Fang rushing back- Chu Song was supposed to keep us away, after all. Ling Qi has much higher chance to be able to get Gu Xiulan and Han Fang our of it than Han Jian and Han Fang... though the latter two would be a lot of help around right now.
It's a weird trap though. I can't see any reason for it to be this complicated. If they had less people, and weren't confident that they could take Gu et al without weakening them with some kind of formation trap first, that would be one thing - but there's 8 of them.
They should easily be able to rush her. Then, if they're trying to get Han as well, just jump them when they come looking for her.

Because this isnt a trap for Gu, gu is bait. and in no shape for a big fight.
It's guerilla warfare tactics. Wound but don't put down one enemy so that other move to help, then squish the others as they are weighed down with a useless or near useless ally.

I don't think this is a pure trap. They wanted to capture Gu Xiu to use as the actual trap for Han Jian, but she was too much of a badass so they were forced to just slap up a formation here and make sure she didn't run.
If it was a proper trap they'd have never allowed us to reunite with her, for example.
They can't hang around because Gu Xiulan isn't in a helpless state and will burn the shit out of them, so they wisely decided that this was good enough and saved their strength for Han 'Tigerman' Jian to roll in full of piss and vinegar and lacking stealth.
Too bad for them we're a stealth character and held our qi signature in the entire time we approached.

Probably, but good luck actually catching us anyway.
The only chance they have to stop us with the plan as is would be to notice the shadows leaving the area, because we can just stop playing and let the mist hold position.
If they invade it or wait till it dissipates they'll be wasting their time.
Classic misdirection, watch the birdie and all that noise.
Plus, if we fail the stealth test to escape we already have mist up and can just stack up all our buffs immediately :^)

Hah, yeah, Formless Shade on Qi Cards means that Ling Qi's derp tendencies worked out in our favor. We have an extremely strong escaping technique loaded on enough Qi Cards that we can equip the whole group.
Then we can roll our katamari into the main front once we break past them and help roll them over. This should buy us a lot of time that we wouldn't initially have. Especially as it frees up Han Jian and the rest of Golden Fields to join the katamari rather than have to bail her out.

The problem with dishing out healing items to Fan yu is that he is out cold. Not sure slapping a bandaid on him will be enough to make him mobile.
Carrying him means either Gu or Qi cannot use their arms, effectively crippling their ability to fight back. Furthermore, Gu is probably already taking penalties from wounds, and I would not be surprised if we are penalized a little for carrying Fan Yu's dead weight (metaphorical and literal.).
I mean, we basically have to try, it's either that or accept defeat, but I doubt this is going to be a milk run.
I suppose we could try lashing Fan Yu to someones back, but if you do that wrong you could seriously hurt him.

The question is, do we take penalties? It's not just a question of strength, running is a careful balancing act. The other question is, can we afford those possible penalties while running for our lives?.
I guess we're about to find out, one way or the other.
I'd like to point out Fan Yu is conscious merely weakened from one of the effects of an art he tanked.
