It miiiight; depends on the scope of the construct. If we did a ash construct around us would that count as low-light?

Both FSA and IWA seems to have both Qi mitigation noping as well as armour piercing, while FSA seems to mainly have Qi mitigation noping. If we do end up going ashen I really do hope we pick up falling, or a floor 2 equivalent, at some point in the future. Short of needing to use our hands that art really does fill all of our needs with slows and defense piercing. I can't help but wonder if that last bit means armor negation or the chance to skip qi damage mitigation.
We have ridiculous talent with a bow it'll rise fast. ASA is yet another debuff art and it requires us to get in close and risk getting hit instead of being able to kite around the enemy from range.Dont think not getting FSA or something like that will be the problem. Seems like most of the voters want it but low archery skill+no site for cultivation yet and the option for hands-free damage in ASA makes ASA more beneficial to take first.

Yeah about that.Yeah, I'd definitely support getting FSA in the future, I just don't think it's ideal to get first, because we currently don't have the meridians to start training it immediately (wasting the pills we've used this turn), and we don't have a good site for cultivating it yet either. Inevitably, we'll get these issues sorted, and when we do we can pick up FSA.
Well if wait for FSA until we have cleared the Heaven Cultivation, we might as well get its second floor version and get a bow for a Heaven/Wind Art commisioned.
I suspect they all stop around mid-yellow, upon which we need to get the upgrade.Well, the stages will be locked by cultivation requirements so it's not a huge deal IMO.
Melee fits our style though? We aren't a range-only peep after all, and having something to use that fits our style in melee is good. Also, considering the Ice Wraith is also melee, so I guess you are only supporting FSA.Oh. There was that. I guess we just make sure we're near some shadow areas before long ranging them.
Anyways I'll support anything but Ashen shadow. It's melee range so doesn't really match with our style even if it looks cool. So tactically voting it is.
That's a bit weird though, given that getting it's second floor version first is probably a very bad idea. OTOH, getting something else is perfectly fine.
Yeah, if we don't go for the archery art now I would be very-much down with picking one up in the future. We do have a talent for archery and we should use it - I'm just not sure we should use it now.Dont think not getting FSA or something like that will be the problem. Except the point of getting the arm art is for damage plus FSA uses our bow instead of the Polearm like ISA and it has armour piercing plus it screws with the enemies qi.
[] Ice Wraith Art
Yin, Water/Wind
Arm/Spine
Physical
A melee art usable with any slashing melee weapon. Cuts through the defenses of foes like the biting chill of winter. Strengthens the users with the power of a winter storm, allowing them to absorb damage and slow and disrupt the effects of toxins and other negative physical effects on themselves. 5 levels
Pretty much- we get better stupidly fast in archery... but that means we aren't good yet. Given the speed we are going at, by the time we are archery 4 we should have access to floor 3 archive.Yeah, if we don't go for the archery art now I would be very-much down with picking one up in the future. We do have a talent for archery and we should use it - I'm just not sure we should use it now.
The blurb on ASA is a bit weird- it hints that it bypass armors to debilitate the enemies directly. It probably does less pure damage than IWA but also bypass armor.Ice Wraith will still do damage, and is also armour piercing. Our current best strategy is to hit the enemy from close-mid range during the turns it takes FVM to disperse. If the Ash art had armour piercing I'd be going for that one, but I think Ice Wraith now, Falling Stars in a few weeks will be our best bet for combat art options for the inner sect fight, because it will let us hit from far away, and then put up FVM when they close, then finish our wounded and tired opponents off with Ice Wraith, with the defenses up to protect us if they get lucky.
Ice Wraith should come first because it's useable with our daggers, which is our current mastery so we don't have a few weeks where our art is hamstrung by our lack of weapon skill. We can then pick up Falling Stars or it's second floor version or whatnot once we have some bow skill and that heaven site.
Well that's your personal thoughts on melee. We've used melee like once or twice. That doesn't seem to fit our keep-away-suck-em-dry style. As far as Ice Wraith goes? The defensive aspects make up for it being a melee art.Melee fits our style though? We aren't a range-only peep after all, and having something to use that fits our style in melee is good. Also, considering the Ice Wraith is also melee, so I guess you are only supporting FSA.
Ice Wraith Art is melee too so is it just FSA and RLA you like?Oh. There was that. I guess we just make sure we're near some shadow areas before long ranging them.

[X] Falling Stars Art
Honestly don't see the appeal in Ashen Shadows beyond its hands free component. Meanwhile Falling Stars both plays to our Strengths - wind and bows - AND curbs our weakness - armor pen.
