The Silent Repose and the Subspace Wavefront System strike me as the most important targets. Silent Repose renders us essentially blind to the enemy's strong and weak points. Subspace Wavefront makes it extremely hard to properly focus our own strength.

So those two definitely need to go.

[] Ixaria Prime - Moon Only (Silo Storage Centre)
[] Ixaria VI - "Silent Repose"
[] No third target

(Edit: changed vote later; dropped Silent Repose for Mystery Solar Station)

I'd like to go for the two I feel are absolutely crucial. The others can probably be worked around with our fleets (depending on what the solar station does), and even hitting just the moon will likely be difficult: it'd have to be at most a few light-seconds away from Prime, where their fleet likely has a heavy presence.

This time Thuir grimaces. "Ah, yes, the augments. We don't like to speak of that time much, but even though much was lost at the time, we also learned the folly of augmentation. It is very much a forbidden technology these days."
*Grumble Grumble* I know this isn't a topic to get into but still annoys me that Federation is still being unwilling to at least do contained augment research in hopes of making it safer.

We need to hit our initial targets hard so we can divide and conquer, and we need to strip thier mobility advantage early. If we can do that without much trouble, we can then divide and conquer against long range torpedoes, shield boosters and weapons boosters in the next round.

My thoughts, scapel reduces the chance of them ignoring shields. Silent Repose lets us start tracking the enemy and Iron Hail sounds like it can chip in throughout the system. Though the minefields are going to be painful... we really need that anti-minefield doctrine.

After that, the Moon and the Sun stations. The ship boosters can be worked around through simple brute force, if necessary.

Anyone else extremely nervous about the new research station orbiting the star of unknown purpose? We know the Licori have the means to weaponize a star, and they may have a less suicidal weapon ready there. I'm strongly tempted to take that one out, because at least the other ones are of known capabilities.

Very much so. But most ways to weaponize a star that I can think of should have enough collateral damage that they propably won't be used for an alpha-stike. Hopefully.
