[] Alyssa Worldwalker Passive Actions
- Take care of and teach children useful skills.
- Do household/ agrarian tasks for Clan
- Clean up the village post battle.
- Experiment with ways to cook golden grass/ maize/ other seemingly toxic forage and fauna, trying to make them edible and palatable.
- Help take care of our native guests, keep them out of trouble, and give them something useful to do while they stay (making gambeson, maybe? If they can make a shirt, it should be teachable). Work on learning their language.
- Continue patrolling the settlement surroundings for danger.

(I just read the post clarifying we had to repost all passives!)

[X] Bjorn Bjornsson

Quarry expedition (completed)

[X] Mine stone? I'm not sure if you can mine from the quarry the same turn we took it but yes make it so!

[X] using the best material available minus the nails build a home. If it is practical construct it on the very top of the highest hill.
If the quarry action goes through wait until we have stone to build the house.

[X] Help to clean up the village

[X] Gather Tar for the village

[X] Chop wood for the village

[X] Look around to see if there is any hill dwelling animal that can be tamed to be livestock in the future

So...does Catl-Ossi govern the entire area between the coast and the hills? I'm just checking how many spirits are about the place.
Catl-Ossi was the local beach. There were two separate spirits, one for the hills and one for the area between the hills and the coast, what we use as farmland.
Before I forget, how powerful was this spirit?
At full strength? No idea. However our Seer who I assume is much better at this than me required a vast amount of blood to deal with one. The razing done earlier weakened it enough for me to put it down with the help of Jörfling. Spirits do not normally die though, so that might not be permanent.

So I should avoid completely clearing a jungle hill tile but building a house and a field or two is ok
It was the burning and ravaging that seemed to be the issue with that spirit and I am pretty sure that making a field requires clearing the jungle.

Though...
We're gonna need lumber, so clearing is probably premature, but the spirit is already pissed...I don't think it'll be happy with you no matter what.
This is not completely true. I said I checked in on the local spirits and I did mean local. It was our forest spirit that we already farmed over that was angry. The forest spirits around us I have not interacted with. Related spirits do talk to each other, so while not as furious as one Rekavidr is set on they will not be happy.

My suggestion? Get a Seidr with the relevant skills to soothsay the spirit. We need Lumber sure, but clearcutting is not the only way to get it and jungles do have a variety of other ways they can feed and enrich you. Offer the spirit a gift of some sort, they like animal sacrifices.

I was suggesting not clearcutting, actually. But the rest definitely stands.

-[X] Major Action: Clear the grounds for Sigmund Stigurdsson's Jungle Hills plot and Harald Logarson's Jungle Hills plot, helping others who are working the same areas by using his Hand Kunna to probe anomalies and dangerous areas from a safe distance and his swordsmanship to slay any monsters uncovered by the ground-clearing.

We might want to adjust this with the facts Agnes has discovered about the local spirits.

Or, well, yeah I guess really the debt is to Jarnblod as a whole. Fair enough.

[X] Fernweh Enginweiss' Revised Actions
-[X] Major Action: Join the Onigar culling expedition. Use this as an opportunity to explore mountains.

--[X] Build a hidden sod house on the highest, most defensible hill around.
--[X] Set up places for Golden Grass to grow similar to those where it is naturally found and plant it there.
--[X] Work on building defenses around my home, including runework and the like.
--[X] Find carnivorous and otherwise dangerous flowers and cultivate them. Present them to the shapecrafter if they are interesting enough.
--[X] Set up a shrine for jungle spirits.

[X] Major: Investigate the local spirits in our village/beach. See what spirits are available here and now. Try to Find one past the Ornery one. Currently Doing
[X] Passive: Set up home above the waterline if possible, or on stilts if not.
[X] Passive: make a Tapestry illustrating the laws as set by the first Thing.
[X] Passive: Start producing a supply of gambesons for the village
[X] Passive: Send Husband out fishing.
[X] Passive: Experiment with the local herbs, berries, and flowers. See what dyes I can tease out of them

[X] Passive: Work with Hulfr Hardwood in building the Main Hall, ensure there is somewhere that I can install warding at a later time. Done

[X] Passive: Aid Harald Logarson in harvesting Flax.
[X] Passive: House Magni and Migna Arnolfson for the season

Just remembered I needed to prepare something for my plan next season. I hope seven passives is not too much, especially since one is my husband doing it, not me. :x
