@Sayle, I had someone make this comment;
Followed by @OneirosTheWriter commenting it could show up here
Given how ad-hoc and bespoke Starfleet handling of weird science events can be, this wouldn't surprise me in the least!
But, man, the Curiosity crews that are going to transfer to these science beasts are in for a shock. I also like the fact that it complements Selachi squadrons single target focus with a rather tough multi-target weapon platform and since it's relatively cheap, making 1 for every 2 Selachi seems actually doable.
I would not be shocked if more computing power just generally adds to things like shield durability because the ship can modulate the shields faster or something. We stuck 4 times the normal computing power on this ship after all. Small improvements in a lot of things should be expected with that big of a jump.Yeah they're actually really tough for the price, barely less defensive than our explorer at the moment. Did we go up in shield tech or something?
To be fair this is basically a cost cut version of said explorer with a different floor plan.
Mass is part of defences. It has less mass then the explorer and uses the same defensive tech. So its defence is slightly lower.Yeah they're actually really tough for the price, barely less defensive than our explorer at the moment. Did we go up in shield tech or something?
My workplace is currently migrating from Excel to somehow storing the data within a software made for ToDo lists using lots of ingenuity and gumption.Well a database is just a list, and excel is just a big piece of paper. Perfectly logical. Where did someone say this, by the way, and do you know where they live? No reason. I'd just like to shake their hand.
