His major work from the use of his observatory is titled "The tree of ultimate knowledge [in the end of time or the world] in the Kingdom of the Revolving Spheres: The astronomical tables of the King of Kings [Murad III]" (Sidrat al-muntah al-afkar fi malkūt al-falak al-dawār– al-zij al-Shāhinshāhi). The work was prepared according to the results of the observations carried out in Egypt and Istanbul in order to correct and complete Ulugh Beg's 15th century work, the Zij-i Sultani. The first 40 pages of the work dealt with calculations, followed by discussions of astronomical clocks, heavenly circles, and information on three eclipses which he observed in Cairo and Istanbul.
She's huge! And the decks! Two transporter rooms! Damn!
Stats-in-progress here. Looks like we picked up three point of Science from synergies.
B- tactical rating says we really aren't that lightly armed!Did, did we end up designing the Frigate proposal after choosing the Light Cruiser option? A specialized lightly armed ship in the 200kt range or so? Amazing.
Ooh, that's a much better name than my sour oats.[] USS Gienah
After the brightest star in the constellation Corvus (Crow) and means "wing" in Arabic. This vessel truly allows Starfleet's scientific endeavors to take wing, with the undercurrent of "ooh shiny".

Well, we could always just play a separate Bureau for a design phase, that or (much easier) have mention made to contracts we've lost out on compared to our rivals (who, as Starfleet starts to rapidly grow, get a better handle on just what it wants). But it would be a radical departure from the quest thus far, where we have to date never had a design rejected.
The exact opposite actually. It would be hilarious if Starfleet simply rejected this design out of hand and went for a concept from a rival design team.
Surely Sir David Attenborough? It is a suffix after all.Which means we could have the UFS David Attenborough or UFS Steve Erwin

We never did get an extra lab from dropping torpedoes though, so with that dice rolled all that is left is regret that the torpedo guys were right.
Well we were warned it wasn't 1-1 mapping. On the upside we had enough room for both the probe launcher and a second teleporter, so perhaps it was worth it!
Basically, yeah. I mean, it can take hits like you would expect... Mostly... but the lack of torps is just going to see it shoved into the backline/removed from combat considerations entirely like, y'know, every other ship with no Torpedo launchers, so despite the fact that we could have had an amazing backbone cruiser what we ended up with is a Science Palace. Which is what it is.Did, did we end up designing the Frigate proposal after choosing the Light Cruiser option? A specialized lightly armed ship in the 200kt range or so? Amazing.
No, we made design choices early on to save costs, then choked on actually spending when tactical came along because the people who were actually reading the whole post got shouted down by people who skimmed and bandwagned and so the word "cost" and immediately turned off their brains. So we basically ended up building the frigate option the size of a cruiser, and are basically only going to get away with it because those cost saving measures mean it's about the same cost to manufacture. It would be hilarious if Starfleet simply rejected this design out of hand and went for a concept from a rival design team. Also a good thing for the quest frankly; Aircraft Design Company got most of its juice from the fact that the protagonist's team was bidding for contracts with other companies, and would lose contracts if they did better. Starfleet are not idiots and should have some kind of a similar system; even the USSR had different design bureaus who would present proposals for aircraft and so on. But it would be a radical departure from the quest thus far, where we have to date never had a design rejected.
Instead I suspect that it's @Sayle revising the tonnage estimate for the Galileo down? Otherwise it would be an odd coincidence that the Cost, Tactical and Infrastructure ratings match up exactly.
