She´s a little baby engineer, i don´t think tinkering with a machine that moves at high speeds in the air while we are in it is something we want her to do when its already working reliably enough to dwarf standard.

I wasn't suggesting that she implement those improvements, just that she gives us suggestions on how to improve it so we can hire engineers, runesmiths, and enchanters to apply those improvements.

There are many people in the thread who want to improve the Gyro in some way, and I just thought it would be useful to take into account the opinion of the person who pilots it.

Adela might have a better idea than Mathilde, but you didn't @ Adela. Sure, Adela might have come up with all kinds of ideas as a result of spending hundreds of hours flying and maintaining it and Mathilde would be able to access all of that simply by asking, but I can't. For me to come up with a suitable suite of R&D suggestions would require a big chunk of time and effort. So instead that burden is placed upon the thread - if you want improvement ideas for the Gyrocarriage, magical or otherwise, it's on you to come up with them.

Ah, right, sorry. I guess I was asking for you to give us an Objectively Correct Answer there, when really it's on us to make the appropriate judgement call on what might suit Mathilde's needs best.

Sound/vibration dampening runes that effect the passenger comparment.
Runes that provide heat on command.

Drinks tables that can hold onto cups and... well, sippy cups. To deal with turblance.

Have it be bigger on the inside.

We have talked about boilers that don't need fuel before.
Making one for gyrocopter would seem like a no brainer.
Silence being a second good upgrade.
Adds comfort for those on it, and makes it stealthier.

Iirc silence is a bit of a problem because adela needs to hear all the ruckus the gyro makes to gauge what's it doing. So it would need to be very localized and I'm still not certain that there's something back there that is important.

Could the spell be altered to instead create a zone of noise cancelling? Make the ride nice and quiet for the passengers while leaving Adela able to hear it unobstructed?

Not necessarily required to be built into the Gyrocopter, but an enchantment of Clear Sky would be invaluable to a pilot operating without instruments.

I'm 100% behind a "magic heat to make it require less fuel" enchantment, it'd be a blessing for independent range.

Can we slap on a lightning cannon or something as a long range weapon? I say lightning because it's easy to recharge in the sky (we fly a lot), but any "point and create an offensive effect at long range" spell would do, probably.

There's an Arcane Mark that decreases personal gravity. Has any Celestial created an enchantment to make an object lighter?

One solution might be Headphones of Silence that passengers can wear. Still prevents conversations that aren't carried out by hand signals or passing notes, but it would make for more pleasant reading or sleeping.

Maybe something to give Eike as an Enchanting project once she's learned the theory. Silence/Sounds are only Lesser Magics, after all.

I just realized that the Bokha Palace Accords have a bit of a unintended consequence, nothing to overshadow the good but... All those nobles who previously knew nothing of Waystones now know and they know they're valuable. I think we are going have a rash of petty nobles who heard about the power of the Waystone Network from a friend of their great uncle's cousin doing silly and dangerous things to the ones on their land. The nature of the stones is out there in the common knowledge pool as it was not before.

Better begin prepared in case we need to deal with the Ulric problem.

Also, Mathilde needs to learn more abaout Ulthuan.

You are right, somebody should probably keep an eye on those nobles before the do something stupid, dangerous or both.

Maybe we should recruit some Grey Magisters for the task. I am sure plenty of Grey Journeymen would like and important but boring task like guarding Waystones.

There'll doubtless be a few incidents. But generally the layman's response to finding out there's dangerous and powerful magic going on is to stay away from it, rather than fiddle with it hoping for good things to happen.

The consequences for attempting to dabble in magic without authorization are extremely well known, and there are a number of rather influential organizations dedicated to making those consequences happen.
