Lights... Camera... ACTION!!: A Hollywood Quest

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Hi Magoose here one of the guys helping Duke.

So we have some bad news.

The quest has been canceled as duke does not want to write it anymore.

I'm going to ask if I can take over for it, because I like this quest, and it would be a shame to kill it
TBF, Mags, you have been doing a lot of the heavylifting for the quest, so this will be in good hands. :)

To be clear to everyone, this is just me burning out on imagination of the quest, since my muse has been hitting me over the head a lot with so many different ideas that I just can't find myself too interested in this.

I'll still hang out here, though, since this still does have a sepcial place in my heart.

I'd like to thank you all for making this a wonderful experience while it lasted.

I'd also like to thank @Magoose, @Fluffy_serpent, and @Martin Noctis for doing so much to help prepare and write this quest. I couldn't have done it without you all. :D

I'll see you all around.

With so many regards, Duke William Of.

- American Dream:
--[] Lucasfilm Puerto Rico: Vesperlight Campus [$100 Million]: Lucasfilm envisions expanding its presence into Puerto Rico, a vibrant island with a rich cultural heritage and a growing film industry. The plan is to establish its Vesperlight Campus as a cutting-edge production hub for film, television, and digital content. The studio will feature state-of-the-art facilities for pre-production, production, post-production, and visual effects, tailored to meet the unique needs of Puerto Rican storytelling. By tapping into Puerto Rico's diverse talent pool of actors, filmmakers, writers, and technicians, Lucasfilm aims to collaborate with local creatives and highlight the island's captivating culture through compelling content. The studio will actively contribute to the growth of Puerto Rico's film industry, fostering partnerships with local production companies, educational institutions, and government entities to nurture talent, drive economic growth, and position Puerto Rico as a prominent destination for the global entertainment industry. Through strategic collaborations and a deep appreciation for Puerto Rico's rich heritage and vibrant communities, the Vesperlight Campus aims to showcase the island's unique perspectives, promote cultural exchange, and create captivating narratives that resonate with audiences worldwide, while fostering the continued growth and recognition of the Puerto Rican film industry.
--[] Given current state of affairs with Carrie and the twins, instead of traveling to the business men in Puerto Rico, invite them and their representatives to negotiate these sales in LA on your dime; you also plan on having Mike and Dave there to help with negotiations.
Why Puerto Rico and not Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, or you know any other South American countries that are cultural powerhouses already? Instead of what is a small, and, let´s be honest, pretty insignificant American state in the Caribbean...

Sorry to say but if you compare the "diverse pool of actors, filmmakers, writers, and technicians" and "rich heritage and vibrant communities" of Puerto Rico compared with basically all of South America, it is going to come out EXTREMELY short...
--[] Lucasfilm Hong Kong: Azure Dragon Campus [$100 Million]: Lucasfilm envisions expanding its presence into Hong Kong, a bustling city with a vibrant cultural landscape and a thriving film industry. The plan is to establish the Azure Dragon Campus as a state-of-the-art production hub for film, television, and digital content. The studio will feature cutting-edge facilities for pre-production, production, post-production, and visual effects, tailored to meet the unique needs of Hong Kong storytelling. By tapping into Hong Kong's diverse talent pool of actors, filmmakers, writers, and technicians, Lucasfilm aims to collaborate with local creatives and showcase the city's captivating culture through compelling content. The studio will actively contribute to the growth of Hong Kong's film industry, forging partnerships with local production companies, educational institutions, and government entities to nurture talent, drive economic growth, and position Hong Kong as a prominent global entertainment hub. Through strategic collaborations and a deep appreciation for Hong Kong's rich heritage and dynamic communities, the Lunar Mansion Campus aims to showcase the city's unique perspectives, promote cultural exchange, and create captivating narratives that resonate with audiences worldwide, while bolstering the growth and recognition of the Hong Kong film industry.
--[] Given current state of affairs with Carrie and the twins, instead of traveling to business men in Hong Kong, invite them and their representatives to negotiate these sales in LA on your dime; you also plan on having Mike and your dad there to help with negotiations. Due to his past actions, and especially for helping Mike out, you'd also like personally invite Jackie Chan to be a part of the proceedings, to have him [hopefully] be the face of Lucasfilm Unlimited in Hong Kong.
--[] Attempt to have a discrete, private conversation with Agent Jackson, where in exchange of keeping your honest workers (ie not any Red or Corpo spies) and their families safe from reprisal, you are willing to let the CIA use the Hong Kong Campus as a staging ground of sorts into Red China for their agents, as is your Patriotic Duty
And I don´t want to do anything like in Hong Kong while the Chinese government is trying to kill Bruce... Too much of a hassle

I have one for Mexico, but the like I already explained-
Puerto Rico, like Ireland, isn't for a thriving film industry that will form organically like OTL, it's to A) build one up to bolster the local economy, and B) share access to a different cultural understanding of the world with the average American.

Puerto Rico is also in the Caribbean, so that takes care of shooting on location for Sea of Thieves, an American territory, that we can help forge stronger ties to America, and is primarily Spanish speaking, which will hopefully help normalize Latin American content to a majority white American public.
-it's for several reasons, mostly as a means to make Puerto Rico more inclined to try for statehood for greater protections.

It's also to prevent their $70 Billion debt caused by the pharmaceutical companies hiding their factories due to lenient tax breaks since the '70s that got pulled back by 2006.
And I don´t want to do anything like in Hong Kong while the Chinese government is trying to kill Bruce... Too much of a hassle
Why do you think there's a part about getting CIA protection for our folk there?

And what else are we supposed to do? Make no stance and watch our master's homeland disappear into the PRC, watching the slow and painful transition of Jackie Chan from a friend to a state shill?

TBH, this goes WAAAY beyond the scope of the Quest and it seems like adding another chore to Magoose´s book...

If we want to make a campus in South America let´s do it in a place in that makes sense to do it, if you want to help Puerto Rico's Economy just make a generic investment on Puerto Rico´s economy, and let´s get it over ...

Dude the CIA is not all-powerful and I am pretty sure they will try to dissuade us to do that... We are not risking only our lives here and the Chinese can do a lot of things to screw over us and our employees... Let´s wait for a few years until thing
