They're not giving us a choice, the Rules don't apply here, so they can just attack us without needing to give us a choice.
It means the Nornir are going to be super pissed off at them if they have any ability to care. But they want vengeance more, and presumably they'll respawn even if killed or something.

A QM of my own quests, I'm sympathetic to not doing to voter decisions getting in the way of the narrative. I just hope this doesn't lead to a rock falls, everyone dies ending because we do have a couple of things we want to do on this expedition and it would be an utter pain to remake all of our stuff.
