You know, I think I might have a canon-name that might fit better for this.

The UES Titan-Class, Named after the Titans of myth.
Plus it will also give more of a legacy to ships that bear the name later. (Cough, Cough, Riker's Ship))

[X] UES Titan

[x] UES Warspite
[X] UES Brazilia

Maybe we should have gone for 4 nacelles after all, but a slow killy chonk is satisfying too.

I think skipping the internals is a pretty alright decision here, I don't know why but it feels like we've spent too long on this one ship design.
I think it was more a factor of how heated things got at certain points.

That and the last thing we did was a refit on the Stingray making it feel like longer since we made a new ship.

Honestly, I kinda hate the idea of the Thunderchild as name choice for this ship. I get the reference, first alien invasion work, and the ship that stood against them. But remember, Earth in War of the Worlds lost. Not even fighting in vain and making the martians struggle, no, they were completely outmatched by a technologically advanced foe that basically obliterated all resistance. The HMS Thunderchild was famous for being the only time human forces were able to damage the Martians before dying with honor in battle, but it didn't really have any impact on the end result of the war, which still ended with humanity's near extinction.

To resummarize, whoever in Starfleet suggested to name the dreadnought we hope to counter the Romulans after a fictional ship that took down a few enemy vehicles before getting destroyed, and in now way impacted the inevitable loss of mankind to alien invader should be banned from suggesting names.

It's like naming it the UES Hannibal or UES Balaclava or UES Numantia. Sure it's great name, but it doesn't say good things about what we expect from the end result.

That and you gotta tell that to the Akira-class ship of the same name that lived through the Battle of Sector 001 and more besides.

The name, to me at least, denotes a willingness to sacrifice for the safety of others (you know, like the ship in question was doing for civilian-laden vessels escaping the fighting), to prevent another Brasilia from happening again.
