No, it was 12 at Rough, 6 at Refined is correct.

Ah crap you're right. I'm right about the successes, though. We should have two less on that.

Are we.. gonna have to deal with a Hirkir going forward?

Bruhh

Maybe? It's not clear whether he has a grudge or was just freaked about the situation or what.

Hod Horrasson: (-4/10) He shot Abjorn with an arrow before having his chest blown open by one of Stigr's. If he's alive, you don't like him very much, plus he's got some sort of grudge against your father.
Knappr Horrasson: (-10/10) You wrestled with him at Asvir and absolutely demolished him. He's pissed and boy does he want revenge.

Looking through Foes, are these still accurate? And them still being under Foes? They could be, but I'd think us helping them out might've bought a little slack all things considered?

EDIT: And wait, what about asking sten about forgefire and training Drifa? Or would those be after the troll expedition?

We should bring the light amulet we got for the Ginnungagap expedition. It will stop us from having to carry a torch/lantern all the time. It will also probably be useful for dealing with any abysslings or underground creatures that aren't used to bright light.

Oh absolutely, it would scare away any Underbeings too that fear the sun. Which is most of them I think?

So...tentative plan:

[ ] Plan Taking Revenge
-[ ] Bring our normal combat gear loadout, plus the bottled light source we bought, all our explosive charms, other sources of light, digging tools, and plenty of rope.
-[ ] In terms of people, bring Abjorn, Tryggr, Trausti, Gabriel, Stigr, and Stigmar.

This is basically the combative people who were living on the farm when it was attacked in the first place. We could invite Sten or Steinarr, but having people stay back while we do this makes sense, and besides we're reclaiming our home so this is appropriately symbolic. For gear...I'm not sure what else we'd bring? If people have ideas I'm definitely interested.

We can still ignite things, it doesn't stop burning just because the magic stops.

You Ignite the logs and then they burn for a long time making sure everything else is incinerated, as opposed to Igniting whatever you find and hoping its fuel-dense enough to burn thoroughly by itself instead of smouldering for a while then going out.

If we don't feel like spending Odr, can we throw an explosive-boulder at someone really hard so the boulder gets coated in gore and activates the runes using blood?

If we're resorting to boulders, we're definitely willing to spend a single point of Odr, I think. Those are sort of an 'Oh, shit' button.

But the boulders only explode when they break, so this definitely wouldn't work, we'd need to dump paint or blood on them before throwing them, or the runes get broken before they get blood on them.

Hasvir returns the wave with a nod of his own, his brothers Knappr and Hod looking a bit stand-offish. They both know that they'd lose that fight, but that doesn't stop them from being unhappy with your presence. You don't hold it against them, you did kick their heads in once or twice. Gods know you'd feel the same way if the shoe were on the other foot — as Eric's fond of saying.
I guess it's going to take more than saving their sister to improve relationships from - 4 and - 10 respectively, lol.

I feel like it should, honestly. Maybe not into the positives, but it should move the needle at least slightly.
They could just be petty assholes. Just unwilling/unable to go to the lengths Horra was going to. I'm willing to bet Knappr is at least. The -4 from Hod is kind of generous considering he got his chest caved in by an arrow the last time we interacted. Though getting into that fight was entirely on him.

Sorry for not actively responding, I had a small anxiety spike

Uh...what about inviting him to spar? That was actually the primary purpose of the action (beyond just catching up, I mean). It just seemed weird to invite him without apologizing for last time.
I forgot. We'll say he's worth only 1 dice as he can't share the secrets of the Kyrsvikingar
I also seem to recall we were 3 successes away from Refined, so I think this should be 2/36 towards Mastered.

Good point. They're not friendly to you, nor would they help you in an emergency, but they're not outright death hatred foes.

I forgot about those as well, my bad. They'll be after the troll expedition, which is also when you'll ask Eric because that wraps together nicely now that I think about it.

That sucks. Sorry you had to deal with that.

Ah. Well, still definitely better than nothing.

Cool, that all definitely works.

Fortunately, this shouldn't be too crazy of an encounter I guess? Especially since we've got the bottled sunlight for a trump card to ward off the scariest threats.

There's something off about him, Eldjarn, something eerily familiar in how he observes the world around him. Watching, waiting, learning. He's only a baby, yet his potential is more than self-evident.
That seems like us.

Is Eldjarn ('Fire Iron', appropriate enough for a smith) a reincarnation, like Blackhand reincarnated into us?

I wonder if Minna is related to Ilmarinen. Is she Norse or Finnish?

Aki is curled up close — but not too close! — to the hearth. A blanket is wrapped about his shoulders as his chest slowly rises and falls, his breathing quiet but there. His arms are wrapped around his raven, like he was cuddling it.
Aki looks so adorable when described like this.

Now I can't escape the image of all Fylgjas basically being huggable plushies.
It's a fine, pretty day when you arrive at Horrby — name change pending the Headsman's approval.
Now that had to be an awkward scene.

"Ah Hasvir, back from the dead I see! Gave us all a fright there at the trial, you know. So, what can I do for you?"
"Ah yes.. well, I'm here to change the name of our farm, from Horrby to Hasvirby."

As for your other question, Wolfwind took them back to Vestfold, said that he didn't want his daughter-in-law and future grandchildren in Drysalt's line of fire."
Hey, that's where our mother was from! That's where our sidequest to mother goes!
