Also, rather than Weaving, let's try to Unravel our aspects and convert them to Thread, one at a time, and see if individual Thread is better at holding together, or at least can be separated enough from our base Aspects that we don't fucking die burning it.

Sure, seems reasonable.

@Imperial Fister important question, what format would we put really excessive Yule Gifts in?

Should that be a separate plan, part of this one, or what...because I'm seriously thinking we give Aki just a boatload of shit (he's been helping us with the meteor for years, plus backed us up on the Scorn-Pole thing). And Stigr and Haldan a hefty amount as well. Gabriel and Stigmar are part of the household and thus get any rewards they're inclined to receive later, I think, but those three we should give some stuff.

Let's, uh, be very careful with unraveling aspects because that's what caused a death warning last time. Maybe try weaving multiple strands together? Or doing some sort of... Soul-loom?

Apparently too, we've gotten our example of a Living Tool though. Was this brought on by our current line of discussion @Imperial Fister ?
Perhaps ;P
This should be 33d6 by the character sheet, and my own math.
You're right.
@Imperial Fister , quick question, would planting a single Test Plant be something we can do even in the winter?
I think that Halla would wait until the proper planting time, she knows her way around plants after all.

Part of next turn's plan, as you get the option on Turn 3 of winter

Okay, so, for Surplus...we're still getting truly absurd amounts of Food, this isn't past our price point yet by any means. If it keeps going up, we'll still do it next time (since that'll be next year after we've had several turns of buildup), but likely not the time after that, or not immediately anyway.

For actions, we clearly need to invite in Aki's insight into our research into cultivation, and making new tools was always the plan this winter it just got a bit delayed...and should advance our smithing Trait.

For Management, with a basic Storehouse being Maintenance free and a second house to basically attach it to removing the defensive issues, there's no reason not to make one additional one, and we need our own house upgraded to Good to have room for everyone. From there, I think we have enough exploding charms right this second, and this probably gets us 2 more anyway, while the Meat-Keeping Sticks we could use a few more of.

For Training, the big ticket item is Tracking, for use following Horra and finding where he works his magic...we really want that done in the next couple of turns which means we want that Skill-Trick (and if we over-roll, the excess goes to Wildcraft, which we conveniently also want). Other than that, just steady progression in various areas and a lot of different research. Notably, due to the +1 Success on Housecraft we can't fail to rank it up, which is why investing 5 Orthstirr into it is not conditional. I added my own Reward Die to training Cut because I was running out of dice and absolutely ensuring we get +2 Combat Pool seemed worthwhile (given that we've been told the birth is no longer risky at Hamr 6).

For research stuff specifically, I'm happy to adapt specific wording from people who are better at that...it's not my best area.

EDIT: Removed the Reward Die and dropped Tracking to 5d6 as we're using 1d6 = 1 Success and it was just there to make absolutely sure we got Cut.

Energy forms around him with a blot-like smell
More sacrifice sounds!

Zeal requires sacrifice of (Fervor?)
Odr requires sacrifice of (Orthsirr?)

But Zeal and Christian cultivation seems to have safeguards built it. What Gabriel did with Zeal would apparently murder any Norse cultivator who did the same with Odr. The method anyway.

And Aki knows a lot about Odr. And the Maze, whatever that is. So much secret lore. So much.

We're drowning in animals as I understand it, do we want to try a blot and see if anything happens to our cultivation during it? Maybe that's the missing step? If odr is divine energy, it could make sense. I'd pitch in a reward die if we want to put that in the plan.

I thought the Maze was referring to the rune-puzzle which needed "small power?". Gabriel didn't have the shackles anymore but seems to have brute-forced the puzzle.

A Blot in the sense of sacrificing animals is probably an option, but not at our current level of abstraction. Figure out the Small Sacrifices before you start working at how to invoke the eye of the gods on yourselves.

@Imperial Fister what would the process of having a blot done look like?
You find a worthy sacrifice, prepare it, and then sacrifice it. Whether that sacrifice is an object, food, an animal, or even in the most extreme of scenarios; a person. If it has value, it can be sacrificed.

Blots are generally considered background elements for the purposes of not bogging down the pace too much.

Also, don't forget that the Murderkittens Emerge next turn, so that'll be fun.

Okay. @DeadmanwalkingXI I would be willing to throw a reward die towards performing a blot (whatever the best single animal we can spare) for the dual purpose of blessing our childbirth and also examining the event for interactions with cultivation (not necessarily going into our soul scape, just feeling for resonance, comparing the blot energy to odr and so on).

@Imperial Fister do we need a priest to do this or can we do it ourselves?
