I feel like our fluency in English will make raiding easier/more profitable

That's a good point. Our fluency would aid us. Although there's a greater chance the Treadfast will run into problems if we go so far.

However, as Deadman pointed out, raiding Gabriel's people is more likely to ruin our relationship with him, rather than improve it.

Can we spend, like, just 1 die on Ember-Winged Cloak? Just one? That should get it to Refined since we only need 1 success after the auto. And we might be able to take advantage of that to do some Dungeon Bypassing later.

Kind of embarrassing I forgot about this, even though I brought it up. I think I'll put my reward dice into it, actually.

@Imperial Fister, may I switch my reward dice from Reinforce-Shield to Ember-Winged Cloak training?

Good friend! That guarantees it. No further objections!

One die (even doubled to 2) actually only gives like a 2/3 chance of that and we really do need every die for Reinforce Shield. Someone could spend a Reward Die? That'd do it automatically. I actually considered doing that, but with another pregnancy roll coming up, that seemed a more important use of the Reward Die to me personally.

EDIT: Ninja'd! At least there's agreement on the solution.

Absolutely. You can swap your dice whenever you want, as long as it isn't marked down yet

Cool. Switched my vote back to 'Our First Raid' by the way, since I feel like raiding Wessex is more likely to make Gabriel hate us, rather than like us. Unless we kidnap his fiance... which would most likely result in a neutral result in regard to our relationship with him if anything. And there's no guarantee we'll actually find her, nor do we even know her name or appearance.

We do have 1 dice being given to reinforce shield extra due to a spent bonus dice and even all 17 dice it we are likely not breaching 5% chance to get bloody basics before next baby roll
still feel bad editting my vote but ill do it if 3 others want that 1 dice into the trick as well.

edit: reward dice changed so NM

never actually wanted to go to Wessex just made my plan so people wanting the original plan but Wessex could have 1 thing to vote under

Thinking about it, the English to rather dislike France maybe he will approve?

Halla Longstride (CedeTheBees)
Halla's virthing resembles a cloak of owl feathers, feathers that are singed at the tips. A silver clasp holds it in place.

Her frami coats her in an outline of crimson flames.

And her saemd is a crown of iron spikes that curl out and up, each one bearing a candle-like lick of flame at the point.
This sounded too cool not to doodle

Nice, we've got a reference image that is Actually Real now!

(Please put them in Reinforce-Shield, it needs all the help it can get)

And it's awesome. That image is just super cool.

Actually, putting them (or at least one or two) into putting off conception on the next roll is probably better for this purpose (which is why that's what I'm doing with my single reward die). If we can get by the next conception roll and put all possible dice into Reinforce Shield we wind up with, like, 43 dice over three raid turns (24 dice) and one back home (19 dice, kick in before the conception roll). That's...actually enough. Probably anyway.

It's getting past that next conception roll that's a bit dicey.

or he could put them into artcraft, which would be thematic, or Management, which would be cool once we get home, Or maybe he just thinks that leaping cleave is cool or whatever.

I feel that pressuring others on how to use their reward dice is kinda lame. They are reward dice for that person in particular, not optimization dice for the thread.

Better to hang on to htem for the moment and see how the current set of training dice do. That'll give a better idea of whether to try to put off conception or just do a hard run for the goal.

[X] Plan Our First Raid but in Wessex

Because bringing our young squire his fiancee would be hilarious. It just seems like such a classic Halla moment.

This is also a good point.

This strikes me as a case where voting in plan format is harmful, since it's basically 3 unrelated things: where to go, what to do, and which exact people to talk to.

Considering the unnamed people:

-[ ] The one with the luxurious hair

If we want to be the best, we have to look the best. Not just good, the best.

-[ ] The one with shaking, paranoid eyes

Probably going to die. Our intervention may or may not help.

-[ ] The one who is humming a tune
-[ ] The one who tries to sleep all the time

Generic "interesting" characters.

-[ ] The one who keeps making arrows
-[ ] The one with the sack of coins and many knives

Generic "scary" characters.

-[ ] The one who looks incredibly bored
-[ ] The one who keeps watching the water

Ambiguous. As an optimist, I like to think at least one of these is the "secret" hyper-competent one, but the implied genres conflict with each other. Or they might just be Exactly What It Says on the Tin, and not actually be interesting at all.

I'm cool with putting them wherever. I was explicitly and only commenting on where they would be most effective if the goal is 'Complete Reinforce Shield before we have a kid', not suggesting anyone use their Reward Dice for that purpose (that's up to them, as you say).

Holding onto dice until the next pregnancy roll does also have this effect. That's not happening for a bit, after all.
