I mean, if we do the obvious thing and let our apprentice keep our other unique artifact that's dangerous in the wrong hands, we also teach them dark arts forbidden by the local wizard knights. So I think we're safe on that front.Hmm... Master-apprentice relationship, education with a magical sword thing. Are we becoming a sith?
'Antion sitting in his study enjoying a glass by the fire...suddenly, out of his window, a beacon is lit, with the shape of a giant 'A' in the centre.'I don't know about you guys, but I don't think there's an extrovert out there powerful enough to try and talk to a group of century old hikikomori so large that you can barely count it on the fingers and toes of everyone in my home town.
i felt the same way when i realized you used the model from my original mathilde comm!Extremely blessed, love that people are using the look I comm'd.

So, I'm trying to figure out what we will actually be voting for with the Layout vote for the Library, And I guess it will be more about 'the focus' of the build.
Full dwarf defence: to an extent, all of them will have defence as a main feature, because dwarfs, but this will be the one that's going for a fortress in its own right.
Religious: dedicated to Ranald or Verena (or both?), will please the gods(might help get a knighthood of Verena to take up defending it. )
Welcoming to scholars: this is the one that has sleeping areas and mess halls and stuff for Scholars travelling to K8Ps to stay in the Library, this layout is about pushing the international appeal and knowledge sharing among the different races and nations.
Welcoming to the K8Ps community: lots of rooms for the other things that libraries do like community events, letter/contract/will writing/reading for those that cant read, guild workshops or hobby discussions, public debates etc.
Grey Wizard: all the traps and false doors...all of them.
Any dedication to Ranald should probably be secretive and non-obvious, like the quad-cross idea someone suggested.I'm not sue Ranald would care for a library. I mean he has nothing to do with the pursuit of knowledge. I do not think he would object or anything, just that it does not fit his themes and would be odd. Sort of like dedicating a smithy of Shaylla, leave the poor god scratching his head.

As humans worship Ranald, there is no connection to a library, but Ranald is not necessarily only worshiped by humans. He's pretty hevily hinted to be the same being as the elvish dancing god in quest canon and that god has all of fiction in its balwick. If the library has a fiction section (and it probably will just to get more smut delivered to us ) then it's entirely appropriate to dedicate that section to Ranald.I'm not sue Ranald would care for a library. Where is there heavy hints that Ranald is an elvish god, dancing or no? Serious question that, I remember nothing of the sort, but I could've missed something. As humans worship Ranald, there is no connection to a library, but Ranald is not necessarily only worshiped by humans. "And Kurnous, and Eldrazor, and Addaioth. They are all facets of the whole. What do you do, without Gods to structure your thoughts around?"
"She serves the Dancer," Deathfang says distractedly. "She was glowing with His energies when she and the Ice Witch returned from spreading devastation."
"Ah," Asarnil says, pausing in his work and looking you over. "That fits. Perhaps that gives you some measure of stability as a counterbalance to the pull of Ulgu."
