You can approval vote. Kislev missing out is too important to be ignored, not even for temporary access to a deep lore library. Shield of the Old World, folks.

Uh yes I know, but considering that they are the two most competitive options, it is actually important to do one or the other if I do have a preference. If someone actually doesn't know that approval voting is a thing that exists, then tell them, but not because they aren't voting for your favorite option.

This isn't Drunken Dynasty, Laurelorn hasn't had ties to Athel Loren since they both splintered from Ulthuan, and we haven't seen any tree folk with them. If you want nature spirits, Boris has promised us Hag Witches, who have their entire magic tradition built around dealing with those spirits.
actally canon (4ed, so you know, take with salt) they have tree-man, so do Avelorn.

they are just, like elves of Laurelorn, not as bat shit insane as Athel Loren.

edit: that said, they are a little insane (or differently sane?)

different values.

The last 40 pages of discussion have convinced me there are tremendously cool facets of all the options. Grey College too, but... you know. Articles of Magic.

On the other hand, our contact with Lauerlorn has explicitly mentioned that she herself is some manner of spirit and said that there were other exotic beings that we would meet if the project was there.

Hmm hadn't thought about Kislev's nature spirits. Not sure if there are treemen among them.
We haven't seen treemen in Laurelorn but we might've been hinted about them. Also in a book about Mandred Skavenslayer there certainly were treemen in Laurelorn.

Yup, this is what top tier diplo looks like. Sorry, Tsar, you should have been an ancient, unreadable, centuries old diplomat. The Trees are likely to take this one, if trends continue like the last vote.

No tallier works by checking the post edited date, and the default configuration of the SV tallier is currently counting this vote, which was made 11 hours before the moratorium lifted and hasn't been edited since.

And I do mean no tallier: looking into the past just in case somebody edited their post after the moratorium would be enormously inefficient, and without a position basis you could claim that the second post in the thread is now a valid vote so long as it was edited after the moratorium lifted - meaning the entire thread would have to be parsed. There's simply no reason for it to work anything remotely like that.

236845 was the first post made after the moratorium lifted, so that's the correct one to start tallying from. Simple.
I'm not saying that's how the tally works, I'm saying that's how the vote checking works.

If you search for the tallies that BoneyM uses, and check the voting configuration in each one, I don't think a single one is non-threadmark based, because that's what's easiest to use. The thread's been generally good about finding and warning people who vote before the moratorium, so there's no particular benefit to forbidding editing older posts if it simplifies the use of the tally.

Edit: For reference: Search results for query: "voting closed"

Cadaeth also mentioned esoteric beings though ;)

Laurelorn has the best bribe, and it's even elf-interaction practice before the elfcation. But Kislev basically dared us to go big or go home, and I instantly fell for it. Go all in! Aim to save the world! Vote Kislev!
