The expedition is unaware she is a dwarf :V

I agree we should spend time with Snorri as possible. He's definitely the most affected of everyone, and frankly I don't see our time with most of the other being particularly productive.

Mathilde is the only other person on the council who has command authority over the Dwarven section. We should spend time with Snorri, since it's really important that we get along.

[X] Frozen Sea

If he doesn't go Slayer over Vlag, Gotrek, and Dum, that is. Hopefully he doesn't.

And hopefully, if he's considering it, then Mathilde can prevent that.
We're not exactly a Barazul.

A couple weeks in the Chaos Wastes probably haven't improved Barbitus.
Joerg, Esbern or Seija might have interesting things to say about running into a legendary Beastman.
We still haven't sunk an action into Kohler or Joerg or Solmann, that I can recall, but the dwarves got what, 4 already?

If we're still talking about big/important things we've stolen, how has no one brought up Karak-8-Peaks? By Belegor's own admission if it wasn't for use it would never have been retaken (as early as it was if ever) from the Orcs, Skaven, and Trolls. Shouldn't that count for anything?
A protracted military campaign (even one ultimately won by unconventional strategy) cannot possibly count as a theft, one would think.

I mean, I think Ljiljana may be another good Social choice to spend time with, so that we get an idea of what we're in for before we set out for the goblet, and maybe afterwards as a potential interesting foreign wizard contract -- especially as, for weeks, she would be carrying a Chaos artifact and keeping it suppressed. Egrimm and the Light Choir also have potential, too, as Daemonslayers who bailed us out in the Vlag fight, and who we jointly observed the Windfall with.

But Snorri is the person I am both most concerned for, and most interested in, and feel the most future potential for.

He's the last Dwarf leader, he's going to be active in the High Pass area, and active in the diplomacy and interactions of Karak Vlag with the rest of the Karaz Ankor, and his friend just died and the Dwarf leader just left with a few cryptic words and we witnessed Dum be... well, itself.

I don't want him going Slayer (if that's even a thing we can influence or affect; though I guess Mathilde could get him to focus on and orient on Vlag and the importance of a Kadrin-Vlag link and passage), I want a contact available for when Mathilde visits and pokes at the Karak Vlag Dwarfs in the future -- and c'mon, is anybody else interested in spending some AP Vlag's way in the future, whether main-turn, social, or both? -- and I want to feel him out for what he is going to be telling the rest of the Karaz Ankor about Karag Dum.

Because it would be best to get at least some agreement or at least consistency or intelligibility or... whatever. With Snorri's and Mathilde's opinions and reports on the overall expedition.

"The Frozen Sea, as well-named as it could possibly be. Apart from the Icebreaker-lead convoys to and from Uzkulak, all there is to encounter is seals and ice crabs."

"It can hold our weight?" Sir Ruprecht asks dubiously.

"The Chaos Dwarves need to use fire sorcery and leashed daemons to weaken the ice enough that their dreadnoughts can break through it. Our steam-wagons won't even make it creak."
Do we or the other expedition leaders know anything about the odds of encountering one of those CDwarf convoys?

Even if we encounter them, they can't catch us. Icebreakers are extremely bad at turning. Basically they can go forward (breaking ice) and backward (clear path) and that's it. If we cross paths, we can just turn the expedition to miss them and they'll either have to leave us alone or charge across thousands of yards of flat ice while we shell them.
