The fact that we worship him is and open secret. We made him the patron of the Sirland guard and he is known to be a god favored by grey wizards . Secondly yous seem to have a very poor opinion of what Dwarf reputation 20 (among the highest of any living non-dwarf) means.

How will the dwarves, or most of the humans here know about it? No one here is strong in the intrigue game. The dwarves are concerned with dwarf events, the humans are either people who peft their ownprovinces due to politicking, Stirlanders who left the army in protest and adventurers/mercenaries.

While Ranaldan service seems fun, do keep in mind people how badly he would come off with the dwarfs.

As another poster has said here before, dwarfs wouldn't like Ranalds everything.

Does not seem like a good time or place. Lets keep him far away from the deceit, thief, etc hating dwarfs.

Happy with how the scolding went. I was tempted to go above her head, but I'm glad we gave her the ol' razzle dazzle of our traumatic past.

I think most dwarfs would at least grudgingly ppreciate Ranald the Protector if they know anything about how nobles in the Empire can and often do abuse their power.

Everyone voting for the Panoramia option does now it totally undermines the lecture Mathilde just gave her. I understand that the shippers are out on this subject, but come on.

Particularly as Mathilde has a much more valuable nascent friendship with Wulfhart to cement. Not to mention that making sure that some idiots don't stumble over the hoard is very important.
This seems a bit unfair. It's as much the halfling option as the Panoramia option, and I don't see why Mathilde would undermine rather than reinforce the lecture. Or Mathilde might just not bring up the topic at all and let Panoramia draw her own conclusions, like "is the Yes, Magister checking in on me?" while Mathilde concentrates on food and lets her Grey College rep do all the work.

Also I feel like I'm going to refer to Mathilde as "Yes, Magister" a few times and see if it stays funny.

If Kragg wants to know the technical details he can ask. (like that'll happen!) And our reply will be "Wasn't easy."

Let's take a look at these personal interaction options.

[ ] Join the hunting with Esbern and Seija
[ ] Join the hunting with Maximilian
[ ] 'Make sure the ale hasn't gone bad' with Johann
[ ] Cook with Panoramia and Titus
Journeymanlings! For many of them this is just checking in, but if we want to build lasting friendships then checking in regularly might not be a bad move. Maximilian was just part of a unit that broke and routed in battle, which might make it worthwhile to talk to him. Panoramia just lectured so approaching her and cooking together would be pretty directly displaying that we want a positive emotional relationship and might undermine that or might be taken well, depending upon her personality. Titus is cool and stapled to her, though, so I'm inclined to think that she already has adequate emotional support and it would be a bad play to spend time with her.
[ ] Join the hunting with Ulthar
Ulthar is cool and spending time with him builds that social link. Not a lot more to be said, on that one. It doesn't feel essential to me because we're going to be working with him a fair bit almost inevitably moving forward anyway.
[ ] Join the hunting with Codrin
Considering that Codrin was just affected by Kragg's magic and might not realize it, that his trusted men just fled in the face of the enemy while his less trusted ones held... it might be a good idea to check in. He made the call much earlier in the expedition to trust us (with opinions, information, and plans, if not with things like "not exploding into demons") and I don't see why that would have faded now.
[ ] Join the hunting with Sigwald Kriegersen
[ ] Join the hunting with Ruprecht Wulfhart
It remains a very good investment of time to bond with the leaders of the Empire's knightly orders. "We are winning a war on the same side" is one of the best starting positions from which to earn someone's respect and we haven't spent a lot of time on them. It would be a very good move for our long term political position to social them while we still can.
[ ] Cook with Karak Izor
[ ] Cook with Clan Angrund
Generalized bonding with Team Dwarf. Izor just took a lot of losses- they've had very heavy casualties throughout, really- so they're likely to be in a somewhat different place emotionally than Angrund. Still both are moving in and if we're moving in too making the dwarf on the street more familiar with us is probably good in an entirely separate way from our Dwarf Rep score.
[ ] 'Make sure the ale hasn't gone bad' with Skaroki
[ ] 'Make sure the ale hasn't gone bad' with Durin
We just took Karag Nar with Skaroki heading up the assault force so he would be an excellent choice; bonding today will capitalize on that to maximize relationship in spite of our previously limited interactions. Durin is cool and just murdered a few thousand greenskins with artillery barrages, so he's probably in a good mood, but I don't see a serious draw to talk to him over anyone else.

On that note, how many thousand years has this been? Actually, how old do dwarves even get?

It's been about three thousand years since the fall of Karak Eight Peaks.

Most Dwarves die of old age around 200, but some just seem to decide not to and keep on going.

What's Naz Kadrin? Couldn't find it.

The overland route from the Dark Lands to Karak Azul, according to the map in the 8th ed Army Book.

Right.

I'm too uncertain and easily lead by arguments on the matter of disclosure, so I'll abstain there.

No Ranaldian religious service, that's no good. No magic displays if any level of drinking is done.

I doubt either would know about rumors from Stirland. This is Kragg the Grimm why how would hear about news from some manling city and what reason would he have to go searching for it?.

Belegar might know something especially if he asked about us from Cordin after how high profile we have been in this campaign helping him out, but I don't think us trying to make Ranald patron of the Watch was important enough to be widespread information since it never came up afterwards especially in the months following when we were at the College which would have been the time for someone to confront us about worshiping Ranald.

While I doubt Belegar will care much, its a good chance Kragg will have contempt for us worshiping a god of thieves.

Also can you answer why it would be well known grey wizards worship Ranald?
I know wizards do follow the gods like how Taal and Rhya are somewhat followed in the Jade and Amber colleges and the Amethyst have some leanings to Morr but one of the main things about the Grey College is theirs little information about them and I doubt worship of Ranald is one of the tidbits everyone would know is common among Grey wizards especially as people don't worship Ranald openly so that's even more reason for no one to know that we worship Ranald.

I think most dwarfs would at least grudgingly ppreciate Ranald the Protector if they know anything about how nobles in the Empire can and often do abuse their power.
They would have to interact a lot with humans for that to happen. So mostly just Rangers and those who have studied humans I think. And even then, that's 1/4 acceptable, 3/4 terrible from their point of view.

[X] Remain silent.

There's been more then enough discussion on this topic already so I won't say much here, all I'll say is that Ranald can let people know about the situation without us having to endanger ourselves.

I think we could use some stronger bonds with these two.

[X] Drinking

We drink, for this is a dwarven celebration. We gamble, for we are a Ranaldan. We spar, in hopes of finally learning some dwarven fighting techniques.

Why wouldn't I want to see the hilarious Shenanigans that happen when you drink far too much dwarven ale?
