My memory is coming up short here, but runesmithing is declining both because of the lost holds and because magic is more 'stable' now right? Like, way back when all the bigger works were made there was magic storms when they were runesmithed? Like the count weapons.

Now the main question, if the dwarves had access to the snake juice would that go a ways to alleviating limited magic? Liquid high magic seems like something that would/should go a good way to making some really good runesmithed items.

I think most of the issue is the lost holds and dead clans of rune smiths, but the lack of high ambient magic roaming does have an effect, Karak Eight Peaks is one of the places where this wouldn't be an issue as it's a nexus for the waystone network here. So they probably don't need the snake juice if they retake all of K8P. That said the snake juice would be useful for a runesmith that doesn't have access to a waystone nexus but they're usually not willing to experiment in that way. Rune smiths are usually even more hide bound than other dwarven groups.

I wonder what rolling a 6 would have done considering higher meant better outcomes. Probably something pretty significant?
Nah rolling a six would mean Slannesh showed up, cause that's it's Sacred Number, and there would be enough divine energy being stolen it would want all it could take.

Edit to strike out a vote.
1: One Less God.
2: Two Gods Notice.
3: Man In The Middle.
4: Split Four Ways.
5: A Fifth Aspect.
6: The Sacred Number.
Well then. People seemed to accept the idea of Mathilde dying here, but I wonder if they would've been quite as eager to call on Ranald if they'd know there was a 1 in 6 chance of him dying.

Well we survived, so good result.

Decent blessing. Not particularly applicable to our current campaign (scouting/assassinating aside) but lots of utility when back in civilisation.

Kragg knows rather more of the winds than I expected. Guess he disapproves of his own ignorance more than knowing Elf magical theory. Either way nice to see him getting his Doom on. Was kind of worried he would be sitting out the battle to clean that desecrated temple.

Battered, but unbowed.

Less poetically, we have a Seed with full charges and our armour of indefatigableness. Also a greatsword. There is work yet to do and we remain capable of doing it.
@BoneyM Can Mathilda spend a Seed charge to heal physical exhaustion?

That would contravene with the good outcome thing wouldn't it?
Someone tried to guess the outcome earlier in thread and the anology was that a guy wins too much in gambling and catches the attention of a thug. In our case the thug is Slannesh and boneyM replied that the guess is within the same ballpark.

Honestly? It would have been a pretty awesome outcome. Not the good kind of awesome, but definitely awe-inspiring.

No, that's outside the scope of the enchantment. Science knows that physical tiredness is a matter of acid build-up and muscular micro-tearing but magic draws the line of what is and isn't an injury differently.

Yes. Mind you, I would be salty as fuck, but Ranald dying while trying to steal from greenskin gods and Mathilde trying to come to grips that she set up her god to die is a good and compelling story. A tragedy, for sure, but that is perhaps the most ancient genre of them all.

Mathilde isn't just tired physically her soul is rubbed raw and tired. There's pretty much no way throwing more magic at her soul will fix that unless Shallya is involved.

That said I can see one reason to power through the tiredness if you want to angle for a determinator trait and push up physical fitness this would definitely tie into it. Just don't think it's worth the risk of soul exhausted wizard doing dumbs(mechanically having a heft penalty to rolls leading to nega crits)

Damn.
Now I imagine what if it were otherwise. Healers being the smallest folks all around, because they can fix the damage from lifting and bulk up on spell cooldown.

She was half dead just going up the stairs because she had to refresh the armor spell just to climb
I honestly forgot she'd probably have to recast it before getting to the fight. We really need to develop our enchanting to the point we can get the mastered version on our robes.

Probably won't work but @BoneyM As we're on top of the mountain with a clear view of our forces and the greenskins could we use our lens spell to magnify the light made by our torc, I.e. making it look like a visible beacon from afar?

On second thought, lets follow the standard we already made our journymen hold to when we made Panoramia take a nap. No casting while tired.
