What sort of tone should I shoot for with this Quest?

Any ideas on the more immediate concern? I think the speech we'll give to Carol is very important. I want good relationships with Hal Jordan's love interest and potential superhero\villian.

What is our actual plan? I am considering to regear it towards spacecrafts production. Maybe even go as far as rename it Ferris Spacecrafts

Sure why not. It will be included under improve weapons though but you still get 100 exp.

You are both correct and incorrect. Lex has reason to be pissed but he doesn't have reason to truly hate the League. Right now he is still thinking fully rationally. If the League interferes one more time and causes more problems Lex's hatred will bloom into full effect and he will start actively seeking the destruction of the group. Lex is angry at the League but he doesn't hate them yet.

The option to backstab will come at a later date. Right now it is too risky a move to make on your lonesome (Talia's martial is higher than Lex's)


PSA I've updated the other encountered character's page if you want to check out some stuff on the new individuals you have met this turn
 
if we do work with Talia we need to work through proxies, with Lois about to go all bloodhound on the league the last thing we need for her to discover Talia's identity and then learn we are associated with the daughter of the terrorist we are fighting. It could lead to accusations that all the attacks were false flags in order to justify our past and future security's upgrades both Lexcorp and Metropolis

I noticed Pamela's cooperation score is only 1.1 and not 2 as it says here.

As for actions, here is a preliminary plan for what we could do next turn.

1 Learn about space (w/ Ivo in a way that can complement Ferris Aircrafts to become Ferris Spacecrafts)
2 Hire more LexCorp security forces
3 Improve LexCorp forces equipment
4 Equip your forces with improved armor (increased defense capabilities only, not hidden so the DC is cheaper)
5 Fortify Metropolis
6 Begin development of combat exosuit
7 Improve weapons (Pamela?)
8 Learn about military strategy (Pamela?)
9 Patrol Metropolis with security forces (Lex + Mercy)

you got my vote through you should probably add in some rebuttals related to the leagues attacks on us and how we can keep her employee's safe

This is an overreaction. We still should A.M.A.Z.O. We still can afford a stewardship action or two, etc. Even something like 5 actions directed at the war is a huge investment.

BTW, I'd strongly consider building a personal aircraft for Luthor next turn
 
Provided that the DC increase regarding AMAZO hasn't changed, AMAZO should now be DC 140 (DC 60 if we account for Ivo's learning score and his reduction to the DC of AMAZO), meaning that we will very soon reach a point where Ivo alone can't guarantee a high enough change of success for us to safely take AMAZO.

It's possible that the DC will stay consistent from now on and that the early DC was only low because it was very basic stuff

I feel like the Talia vote will likely be the most contentious. I think this option is the best position for a couple of reasons. First off we have already met with her personally at her home. There's no point in using proxies or go-betweens since we've already had direct contact. Working with her regularly without letting her into the inner circle means that we can get access to whatever help she can offer without making our people or our property unduly vulnerable. If it pans out then we can offer her more trust later done the line. If it doesn't work out there's no way to undue any damage she does if we extend her too much trust. And FYI Talia ran Lexcorp in the comics when Luthor himself was POTUS, though that may not be worth all that much in this adaptation.

while its true lex left Talia in charge it ended up being a terrible move for Lex she constantly leaked info to superman and then sold the entirety of the company to Batman. if anything her time as LexCorp CEO should make us more wary

True. Which is part of why I'm not arguing for letting her into the inner circle. But this is Talia before Batman becomes her "beloved" and it's in her best interest to end the LoS war against Lexcorp since that's a major drain for them and fixing the problem will net her some prestige in the org.

true but like I stated the more we are in contact with each other the more word will get out on either side. If word gets to the league before we have any good evidence that this whole war was a mistake then Talia will be declared a traitor for working with the enemy. if word of who Talia is gets to the likes of Lois then our reputation will be tainted Via the association of the daughter of a terrorist

Would Batman get involved? He was trained by the League so he has some involvement since their falling out. Plus I doubt Batman will ignore blatant terrorist bombings.

If Talia gets declared a traitor to the LoS that means she more likely to support us and throw in with us full time. Lois doesn't have the resources either we or Ra's has and is unlikely to uncover her identity. We didn't know she was anybody other than "Miranda Tate" until she told us. Even if somehow Lois or someone like her does figure out Tate is Talia that doesn't mean that she's automatically guilty of her father's crimes and it double doesn't mean that we're guilty of them. We've already been to her freaking home in person, there's no point in trying to move backwards towards proxies, especially since we haven't recruited any expendable assets yet.

we have met her in person once. continuing to do so will only bring more attention. the point of using proxies is so when we work with her in the future people have a harder time linking the two of us
