I will not vote for any plan that doesn't involve approaching the bright college.

Or gold college. either one. i got confused.

You've already heard my other statements. Beyond that, if we DO end up doing Titan Cannon, the Metal Personal Option has decent chance of synchronizing with it. If nothing else, it will make up some of the gold we spend.

Honestly I quite favor your plan save for "Stabbing with guns".

I'd prefer the Bright College to the Gold College to be added next and since there were problems and Action(s) to be taken to solve those problems in order to fully integrate each College of Magic we brought to Ostland I see no point in bringing two Colleges of Magic fully into Ostland at the same time since we will then be stuck trying to figure out which Magister Integration Actions to take first at a point in time when we already have a glut of must take Actions to pick and choose from. I'm taking Stabbing With Guns because the only other Personal Action available right now is to resurrect the +1 to Diplomacy Teeth Action which is/was controversial among the player base while it was a regular option for a Personal Action.

I will not vote for any plan that doesn't involve approaching the bright college.

Both leading Plans have that Action as one of the Diplomatic Actions taken this turn.

-[X] Greatship 2
-[X] Coordinating With The General

-[X] Horse Trade – Averland
-[X] Agricultural Overhaul

-[X] Bases Of Nature

-[X] Old Metals

Yeah i think i like this one.

Old metals even gets us cred with the gold college so we can approach them next, because we need to do that soon.

I would prefer to talk to Averland while also doing the horse talks instead of Bright College but all the other choices are great

At the same time, bringing the Gold College in is something that we've already spent multiple actions to set up, both in the actual turn and during Frederick's visit to Nuln.

And we haven't been trying to bring in the Bright College for longer? Like there has been talk of doing so since the fight with Gruber introduced us to Odelia. Also the Personal Action Old Metals will improve our relationship with the Gold College so it's not like my plan has no action towards our relationship with the Alchemists.

We discussed it, but I don't recall any actual actions we spent on it.

Hm. I also wouldn't mind swapping Bright College/Stabbing Guns with Open Hand/Gold College in @Dmol8 's plan. Pretty ambivalent about that part of the plan, so any combo is fine with me. The key issue with the Amber College integration seems to have been Amber Wizards casting buffs that warped soldiers' minds during battle without warning them, and I'm not sure that the Bright/Gold colleges would have the same effects. Not super familiar with WHF, but using magic to torch enemies directly or to buff cannons is probably significantly less concerning then giving troops a berserker mode and I'm not sure if those winds would do similar sorts of widespread buffs as the amber one.

There's also the fact that the Gold College journeymen are likely to interact primarily with our gunnery/engineering people, who tend to be more open-minded.

o_O Uh like any Action taken to better tie the Northern Trident together. And the various Trident Meetings that culminated with Odelia and Frederick talking about Alcohol which sparked an interest in character in the Bright College. Then Odelia undertook that final Magister trial of hers and we got the option of taking the Action to recruit from the Bright College for Ostland's armies.

Here's a list of spells the Gold College can do. As you can see there are plenty of those that have a battlefield use and plenty of those that will freak an average human in Warhammer Fantasy out if Actions are not taken to acclimate them to their existence.

I'm not sure why people want bayonets over more gold wizards in our employ, not super vital at the moment.

Gold wizards in battle give active buffs to our units armor and stuff so won't face nearly the same issues as Amber wizards.

I'm just talking action economy here. We spent actions involved with the trident, but that wasn't intentionally building towards having Bright Wizards, as far as I'm aware, and has had a large number of other effects and benefits stemming from them. None of the rest was stuff that actually took time away from other things.

In comparison, we spent a regular turn action on contacting the Gold Order, and an action in Nuln to personally meet with them. I just want the full return on investment of that.

I'm not actually certain what this argument is about, given that the two options don't conflict at all. I definitely want Gold Mages now over bayonets in three turns.

I'd rather we finally get around to taking Stabbing With Guns given that the option has been there since turn 30 and takes 3 years to complete. Though I'd be fine with the weaponized mouthguard option of turn 28, as IIRC Freddy's dentures gave a +1 Diplomacy from the intimidation factor alone.

If we start researching Stabby Guns now, we can still get Gold Wizards in our armies before we finish researching Stabby Guns.

Yes because the first time a Gold Magister casts Embodiment of Chamon on themselves and becomes a Gold Murderblender or starts throwing Final Transmutations around the troops will react in a calm and rational manner and the Witch Hunters we have integrated into our armies won't start twitching for their weapons from the sheer WTfuckery of such a scene on a battlefield.

Cool. I'll settle for a partial return on investment by having them study the Ironblaster and I'll take the Bright College instead since they have in Canon been the most successful College of Magic to integrate themselves into the Armies of the Empire so any Action we would have to take to have them integrated will be cheaper and quicker to finish.

I mean, at least they're doing it to the enemies.
Jade Wizard healing got a pretty good reception. And they cast spells on crippled veterans(albeit admittedly in non-combat situations).

The Amber Wizards did something to the Elector Count's sons that made them behave like violent wild animals.

[X] Plan Into the Roots:

I consider Coordinating with the General to be much more important than going to Albion. We don't know exactly when, but the Beastmen will attack and I want to be as prepared as possible.

Those are the tame Chamon Combat spells. I don't even want to guess how a Witch Hunter would respond to a spell like Gehena's Golden Globe if they understood the difference between it and a Final Transmutation. The difference being that for a Final Transmutation a Gold Wizard has to just believe that he will end the life of their opponent(s), for Gehena's Golden Globe the Gold Magister has to believe in the insignificance of their enemies' lives. And Gehena's Golden Globe is the upgraded version of the Final Transmutation.

I'm curious if you might consider going for coordinating with Hochland instead of the Bright College? It seems more time-sensitive to me at least.

I'd be willingly yes, but Dmol made it clear he wants Bright College and horses and doesn't want to spend actions on Albion.

At this point I will change anything as long as it gets people to finally put actions towards Albion.
