Some of these I like, but I have other suggestions:If we are commissioning this weapon (and it seems like we are), I agree that maybe we should be more specific about it. Some things that I think would play into our strategy and maybe work with the theme of the shard:
I'm not sure what the rules on things like this are exactly though, so YMMV.
- Qi Drain
- Darkness effect (maybe an aura around it, maybe people it hits just treat bright as low light and low light as dark or some partial blindness debuff)
- Defense Pool Debuff, to let our minions follow it up
- Semiperfect, perfect, or aggravated damage in some combination, to help us win long slogs against people with strong defensive bias
- Phasing of some kind, so that other Domain Weapons have trouble blocking it
Boosting our Dispel Resistance. This is actually really important, as one of the few final "holes" in our build, where it isn't quite up to par with the rest. Could have it thematically weaken dispel attempts by eating them or something similar.
Also the Thing has four main options max, and the fewer we focus on the stronger the effect. Based on the nature of the Umbral/Void Shard, Qi Drain is a very very nice thing we should stick in as Feature 1. I would then suggest a focus on spiritual offensive clashes as the second, with it shooting for semiperfect damage as the main focus as Feature 2. Feature 3 is a boost to our Dispel Resistance. And that's basically it.
That's my suggestion into the pot on it.
