yeah, that was the plan from the beginning iirc, but i got worried with all this sudden talk about Meizhen being a member of some kind of bai masterrace and being forced to take a more active leadership role. this could lead to her staying in thousand lakes in order to be indoctrinated into the MAIN main family (double main is intentional)

that would suck:(

edit: also since the horror can use 6 techniques of ours of 2 dots or less, we can use them to set up techniques right? Like using them for a one two punch. with one action setting up the other.


how would the ability to cast some techniques out of turn affect our normal combat rotation?

If it cannot ablate normal damage using Qi then it's eight health levels and 3 armor at max possible level make it rather fragile and makes it interact weirdly with stuff like TRF. Which, if it's supposed to always be fragile, that's fine and I can deal with this weakness in return for the rest of the stuff it gives because it makes sense based on what it's made out of.

Thankfully us being a support and having good arts help, there. Rumbling Squall being its spine tech slotted means it will have 4 armour, and our TRF aura means it will have 5. That is still fairly low, but we have AS2 and TRF4 currently. it is very likely our TRF aura might give 2 armour, and rumbling squall 2 armour. If it gets to armour 7, then we are in business.

Wow , the bai family is...a lot bigger then I expected.

Also eugenics program or at least "ranking based on how Bai you looked " gotta suck for the members with less snek traits.

I'm imagining brown skinned bais now and other snek breeds unlike the water snek main branch.

We'd need to build them all within 2 weeks of the tournament, or find a way to preserve them inactive. I find it likely building 21 scouts all at once is going to be a major action maybe?

Yeah, it's been turning into a bit of a slog to the tournament, so I'm a fan of streamlining this a bit.

Not gonna vote for the Caimission until more detail is added. While yrsillar is certainly able to generate a weapon we'd be happy with, being more specific will make it easier for him.

Please. There's no danger of Yrs picking bad minors or anything like that. We're also can't choose to make Yrs write less--he's constrained by RL time, not by the number of weeks left in the game year. It's a question of where the focus is.

Do you like the slice-of-life cultivator time? I do too. Do you like it more than exploding out of Yan Renshu's base, and snarking to Jiao in the aftermath? More than challenging a dragon? More than breaking through? More than the party Xin and Zeqing threw? Than the Revel with the Dreaming Moon?

Please. Let the QM prioritize the content he thinks best. You won't be disappointed. I promise.

I'm gonna point out that it's taken us four months to cover five weeks, (week 36 to 41), I feel we should just bite the bullet and accelerate at this point.

I hope we'll be able to use the Stealth Xuan Wu tactic in the tournament at least once. It may or may not be as effective as other actions but it is hilarious.
 
I really think that speeding up a bit right away instead of waiting for the new year will go better for the quest

If we are commissioning this weapon (and it seems like we are), I agree that maybe we should be more specific about it. Some things that I think would play into our strategy and maybe work with the theme of the shard:
  • Qi Drain
  • Darkness effect (maybe an aura around it, maybe people it hits just treat bright as low light and low light as dark or some partial blindness debuff)
  • Defense Pool Debuff, to let our minions follow it up
  • Semiperfect, perfect, or aggravated damage in some combination, to help us win long slogs against people with strong defensive bias
  • Phasing of some kind, so that other Domain Weapons have trouble blocking it
I'm not sure what the rules on things like this are exactly though, so YMMV.

I'd actually suggest inverting that - have an attack bonus when the target is in low light.

Sounds nice. Would most likely be stated as an attack bonus, or reduction of opponents defence bonus.

The muse is our ling qi. Her relationship is the same we have with meizhen.

We can make a couple dozen scouts for cheap and then have an almost free Green level Minion. One that we can easily remplaced mid-fight if/when it get's destroyed!

And it will even be usefull afterward for our fiefs and spy mission. Formations are great.

Yeah, we definitely want to use Cai on this. I don't know that the normal crafters we have access to would be able to make good use of a 4th grade item like this.
