we're the stealth unit. You aren't looking for battlemagic being used on us very often. You're more likely looking at snipers and assassins.
Mmm.
Right up until we actually use Dread Aspect in a fight, and get everyone's attention.

Thats why after using it, we pop Take No Heed and bugger off?Mmm.

If you're so concerned with stealth then you should considerPriests should actually be more common than wizards I believe, but again, we're not on counterspell duty, we actually have enough Magic stat to self-dispel, and again, we're the stealth unit. If we want to escape, we're better off with Pall of Darkness. The really threatening skaven and goblins are also the most likely to make the will save.
Jusr like how Regrowth is a 'break in case of death' thing. The dead man's switch makes it much more pertinent and reusable to boot.I'm aware dwarfs can dispel, but rune smiths are if anything more rare than wizards are so they can't be everywhere. Also if we're reserving these scrolls for battle magic then enemy spellcasters can't just cast again without any consequences, battle magic is dangerous and can easily cause you to explode so making an enemy wizard have to go through that risk again is very valuable.
Regardless the dispel scrolls are a 'break in case of emergency' not a magic bullet solution to be used whenever mildly convenient.
Basically I want them in case someone tries to drop a Purple Sun or equivalent on us.
NB- That sounds like an item that saturates us with another Wind colour for an hour... during which time we can't cast or risk Dhar forming inside us.If you're so concerned with stealth then you should consider
[ ] Second Portent of Amul (you get two rerolls at any time in the next hour) at a -3 College Favours
This will give us far more leeway in our use of stealth and make it much less risky.
Additionally even if enemy battlemagic is only used around us once, then once is enough to make us wish we had a dispel scroll. We're going to be at the Eight Peaks for a while, it's best to err on the side of caution here.
Explicitly doesn't work like that. Instantaneous effects don't leave enough unless you do it habitually.NB- That sounds like an item that saturates us with another Wind colour for an hour... during which time we can't cast or risk Dhar forming inside us.
Second portent is ongoing. It lasts on you for an hour.Explicitly doesn't work like that. Instantaneous effects don't leave enough unless you do it habitually.
You need to be concerned about persistent ongoing effects potentially conflicting, but activated items don't really run long enough to do that
Ah, I was looking at the Regrowth(which if we need it ongoing I think we got bigger problems than the Dhar...)
As far as I'm aware the spell scrolls are just the instructional materials for specific spells for studying. How do scrolls work? Realms of Sorcery doesn't mention scrolls being a thing and earlier on we couldn't enchant clothes because they're not solid and still enough to work on, so it doesn't seem like parchment should work either.
If I remember correctly he apparently tricked several of the largest guilds in the city into building large public works projects with their own money.
He getsActually, about Karl Franz, why is he held in so high regard? I know about the deeds of Sigmar, Mandred, and Magnus, but I've heard nothing about Karl Franz that leads me to believe he's anything more than a generically good emperor.
