So hey. We are more than likely gonna get a Buttload or martial gains from this expedition. Helping Belegar fight his way across the Badlands to Karak Eight Peaks should do Wonders for our tiny muscles.

Our base Martial is still 8, despite all those bonuses we got. Need to up it by getting Swole!

Also, I cynically suspect a Regrowth item would wind up with a recharge condition on the level of "Needs to sit for a month in a primeval forest, where no logging has taken place for a century". Whereas Boon of Hysh could recharge from an hour or a day in sunlight.

The way I saw it, it was less "I want to be good friends with the dwarves" and more "The dwarves did me a solid and I owe them for that". Still if you feel like it's obvius/unneeded then it obviously shouldn't be available.

The charge condition is likely to be dramatic but it would be something you could achieve in a timely manner.

It would almost certainly come with a literal dead man's switch on it.

The main reason not to pick regrowth isn't the favor cost, but it almost certainly having a longer recharge time, and complicated conditions. Still it probably has a deadman's switch on it so a one up is very tempting.

Well a perfectly viable alternative explanation is that they're uncertain whether, or not their net caught the entire cult so everything is compartmentalized, and more importantly it extended far into the middle/high nobility so word getting out would cause mass panic alongside a massive loss of legitimacy.

Just means we need to get good enough to carry the weight.

Strictly speaking though, this is 100% BoneyM shaking up canon. Realistically speaking, "The Empress is part of a secret society that's bent on subverting major institutions of the Empire and beyond" has... Uh, zero canon backing whatsoever, and the very idea of them getting that level of influence in the Grey Order in the first place when they're so infamously closed off is a change.

So even if this is the case, the butterflies started flapping their wings long before the game started, this was just the logical final result of it.

I don't want to waste favours on low end stuff when there is better available. Particularly if it can serve as a contingency for a sudden case of dead.

That's... well, that's true. It would be auto-pick, really.

Anyway, @BoneyM in regard of healing items - all of those seems to be very much single-person, single-use (recharge needed). Would it be possible to get something potentially bit weaker, but more widespread?

I am thinking in terms of an army, or at least a party, where Mathilde will be forced to watch Dwarves die of wounds. Anything that can save lifes would be of quite of use.

Holy shit these are massive butterflies! Van Hal dying caused him to give Mathilde the list of those involved in blackmailing her, and taking them down killed Karl Franz!?!? Wow, I can't even. This timing.... It's almost like a Tz plot.

The recharge the GM just said can be done in a timely manner? Besides that, it can resurrect Mathilde if she dies while the Hysh item can't. If she dies, the Hysh item's lower recharge time is a complete non-factor.

At any rate though, I wouldn't feel too torn up about it. The butterflies started flapping their wings before the start of play with just the existence of this Secret Society. That it ultimately collapsed and may have butterflied Karl Franz in the process is all on BoneyM for arranging matters in that fashion.

Imagine how awful it would have been if the Secret Society went unchecked, and a Hero of Karl Franz's quality was influenced by them?.

Karl Franz not existing is bad, Karl Franz being actually evil is apocalyptic.
 
Anyway, once we get this bit out of the way, there is an obvious and vital task that we must complete immediately, lest terrible consequences befall us.

I speak, of course, about making an armor enchant for wolf-Wolf (IE, the canine clearly representative of the priest).

On a related note, anyone else think that priests of Ranald across the empire have probably received a confusing slew of wolf-related omens recently?
