Did I say it was a reward?Secondly, he's not giving us these things like he's rewarding his spymaster for performed services
So... you 100% agree with me, you just think I am a moron and interpreted my words in the way that makes me sound the stupidest?he will approve of both if he thinks they have a positive result
I'm sorely tempted, but my thinking is that the weapons will still be there if we want them as aid to enchanting.
Getting a network up and running ASAP is weight more heavily thant that.
But again, sorely tempted. If people feel like Enchanting in favor of Wester Stirland, I will swap it.
Well, either way, based on some @BoneyM comments I'd suggest adding:I'm sorely tempted, but my thinking is that the weapons will still be there if we want them as aid to enchanting.

If we're actually traveling to Altdorf and stopping in at the Colleges, can we get away with accomplishing this without spending an entire action on it?
Ok, wow that is a lot. There are fifty of them. You can bring one of them to Altdorf with you, but you can't bring all of them.
Duh... Did I say it was a reward?
He is absolutely giving them to us, not as a reward, but as permission to build a tool that is normally not allowed in order to make us more efficient.
And there is no way in hell that he will think we need BOTH in order to do our job.
Just convincing him to do 1 is a hard sell
Why? We already have a new empty room. Why waste money digging another one out?--[x] Diggy Diggy Hole, Outsourced: Pay someone to do the digging, then Mindhole them on their way out. (no action required, -personal gold)
No, we'll lose most of them.
Thanks for clarifying. The way that the action was phrased did not make it particularly clear that this was setting up a supply line and ongoing expense rather than a one-time investment in a stock of consumables. The action isn't just buying them, it's also identifying local sources to restock as needed and practicing utilizing the components in your spellcasting.
The renald cult thing only starts out in wurbad and then expands to rest of stirland. While the league is probably going to have to be taken over bit by bit for the purpose of spying instead of getting it all at once. They're hard sells, but they hardly fulfill the same purpose, do they? One is aimed at controlling the information that flows along the main Stirlandian trade artery, the other one gives us access to the criminal underworld of Wurtbad and anyone that tries to settle within the bounds of the city or remain out of sight.
Huh... looking at our stats, we would probably be better at casting magic as a priest of renald than as a wizardPiety: 16 - You know implicitly that Ranald exists, and that he watches over you, and that he's actually kind of insufferable. Ranald finds this entertaining.
Learning: 13 - The winds of Ulgu may wriggle in your hands from time to time, but they never thrash.
@BoneyM what does this mean in particular:
PLAN FOR THIS TURN - CHOOSE BETWEEN SIX AND EIGHT. ANY CHOSEN BEYOND THE FIRST SIX WILL COME WITH RISKS.
So is the seventh action alone at a risk, or does it put everything else that turn at risk as well?
And will this be available in the future? If not, why is it available now?
Thanks.
NEW MECHANIC: OVERWORK. With an established base of operations, you can now start pushing yourself to your limits. You can perform up to eight tasks per turn, but any after the first six will have more severe consequences for poor rolling and have a high chance to accumulate physical or mental wear and tear. If additional tasks are chosen, label the 'additional' tasks accordingly.

"Anton Kiesinger -- he's wholly unsuited for the darker side of Imperial politics. He's a gifted conversationalist and a social butterfly though."
He nods in agreement. "That was my read on him, too, but good to have confirmation. I badly want to open talks in Averland to present a unified front to the Sylvanian border, but the Averlanders would eat him alive."
You feel a twinge of guilt, and add, "he is a gifted conversationalist and a social butterfly, though."
Of course it does.
Because there are rimos to be opened and treasures unburried. Why? We already have a new empty room. Why waste money digging another one out?
Utterly pointlessly.
I was just rereading past updates to see what we knew about the Stirlandian League (hint: not much) and our predecessor (his name and connection to the League, basically) and noticed these errors that never got fixed. The first should be talking about Schultz, not de Verezzo, and the second has a repeated section.
Oh right, I forgot about the treasure rolls. after all, this is an underground ex-palace
Losing "most" of 50 chests full of magic weapons is a huge blow. Can you imagine the kind of elite military core our count can build with such weapons and how hard they will hit?
The fee for graduating to Magister can be justified. Trying to do the same to your student debt is... possible, but more than a little cheeky.
We have limited political capital with him. even if we could, every time we "convince" him we reduce said capital and make it harder to convince him of other thingsOh, I see, I don't think we'll reach a consensus for that, I'll edit it out. Unless people are convinced that we can convince Van Hal?

Weak speculation, especially the part about his personality without nearly enough clues as to whether he acquired the wealth for his own sake or if it was funding his operations, or if it went to paying his masters demands.[X] Answers TNE
-[X] PREDECESSOR LOYALTY: I believe that they were truly suborned by the Von Carsteins.
--[X] Reasoning: This was the man that created the Stirlandian League. A supremely selfish man, he had the power and the means, and vampire-dom is an offer many of such persuasion would find enormously attractive. Can't be sure, but it all fits too well.
Somewhat of a statement of intent rather than rationale.-[X] PREDECESSOR APPROACH: The rot lives on; we must excise it.
--[X] We will forever be looking over our shoulders until we know for sure he is dead and done. Especially with our suspicions.
Likewise, I cannot see how the reasoning actually connects to the decision.-[X] STIRLANDIAN LEAGUE: Do not clasp the snake to your bosom. Destroy the League.
--[X] Stirland as a whole needs to be stronger, even if it dearly costs in potential information gain. Our ultimate enemy and goal is Sylvannia. There's no way this ends without an army involved, and we need ours to be the biggest and baddest if we are going down this road.
Hey veekie, what did you think about my writein for the answers?
