I'm not saying I wouldn't be happy writing "the Young Officers" first, but I would like to have more than one vote.

[X] "Crimes of Nod"

Let's see what kind of mess we have to clean up.

Edit: Also no one probably saw the update because edits do not show up as a alert.

Either one is good I just want to see if the name is a simple reference or if we got to worry about a powerful immortal cult leader that will be a problem for us to deal with.

I think you'd prefer the cult leader.
Well, time to nuke the compound then let none survive. We will blame it on rouge assets that didn't want to give up power and were trying to stop the cleaning house option. Let Zeon see why we were worried about bring them in so early before they were dealt with.

Voting is close and tied but after this your going to want the light hearted-ness of "the Young Officers", so "Crimes of Nod" goes first.
Edit: Writing.

I really hope this will be a rational cross because god knows i'm tired of the musical bullshit macross is just filled with.

Crimes of Nod
Ericson Enrico was a smart man, or at least, as the Prime Minister of the Earth Federation, he liked to think he was. As he poured over page after page of illegal, gruesome, gory, insane, stupid, and sometimes down right ridiculous unsanctioned Black Ops, he began to doubt that. As he read though another rich-boy's inane attempt to impress a girl, he wished to be doing anything else. As if reading his mind Nobody reached over his shoulder and set down a rather plain and small looking folder.

"That's rare." He was not surprised, he hadn't heard them come in through the door (which was still closed), nor from the window (that knew for a fact was still bolted shut). "You normally gather up a taller pile before dumping them on me." He did not mind when Nobody did this, after all if Nobody wanted him to be dead he'd be dead, and he wouldn't have known it was Nobody. No what he was more concerned about was that Nobody rarely, if ever, gave him just one folder.

"Read it."

Nobody's voice, like the rest of them, was mysterious and ambiguous.

Ericson muttered under his breath and took the folder in his hands, "Operation: Cain's Stone", strange name, "Status: Partially Successful", that was more worrisome. And so he began to read, as he did his eyes widened in horror. "...the primary objective is the destabilization of the Republic, implicating the Zabis is a secondary objective." No. "...Zabis suspected, but not implicated, none the less the target's supporters have fled in mass weakening the greater Zeon whole." No. Please. "...the destabilization has not had the intended effect..." Please God no. "...they are militarizing at an astonishing rate..." Anything but this. "...there will be war." He was going to be sick. "...no matter the victor Humanity will once again be under one flag."

In the earliest days of the Federation there was a political party called the "Nod Party". They obsessed over human unification, eventually resorting to terrorism to achieve their goals. It was thought that the ring leaders where captured and that the organization was dismantled. Yet in this folder was the names of "The Last of Nod". This was the single most dangerous folder in the world. Not because of "The Last of Nod", no it was because this folder contained concrete evidence that a Federation Official gave the order to assassinate Zeon Zum Deikun.

Ericson would figure out something, he was a smart man.

Awesome entry.

[X] Uncover Black Ops files- The amount of dirty Ops done without the approval of the central government is staggering. (Result 86 < DC 50 DC 75 DC 80 Massive Success!!)
Such a..... small thing, that little folder, but it could change the world. The only clue to the power it holds are the words written on its front, "Operation Cain's Stone: Status: partial success". (+10 to Get rid of incompetent officers, to be continued in "The Crimes of Nod".)

Um, a stone, and words that can change the world....

did we just find the existence Laplace Box?

Well isn't that a nice kick in the balls. Of course the stupidly corrupt government of the Earth Federation allowed itself to harbor the last a dangerous terrorist organization.

Working on "the Young Officers" now. Hopefully it will leave a better taste in everybody's mouth. It will probably be my last update for a while too, I've got an all day commitment I have to get up early for so I wont be back to my computer until 3 or 4. Until then, writing.

....A terrorist organization named "The Last of Nod"?

the Young Officers
Alexandra Stuart was lost, not that she'd admit it. Her CO seemed impossible to find, you'd think somebody that famous would be easier to find. She was about to give up when she noticed a young blond haired man sporting a flight jacket leaning by the window. Oh thank God that's my squads' colors.

"Ah, excuse me! We share the same unit could you point me towards our CO?" The man blinked, surprised for a moment, before grinning, "You know what I was just looking for him my self," he said, "Lets look together, I know some of his old haunts so it should be pretty easy."

"Yes... that's fine." She was a bit disappointed that he didn't know were the CO was but was better than nothing.

"Your the new girl right?"

"Hu? Ah! Yes!" She slammed her feet together, stood her back straight and tall, and saluted, "Ensign Alexandra Stuart, reporting for duty!"

The man laughed a bit at her seriousness, "Well then Alex, its a pleasure met you, call me Bones!" Still wearing his hansom smirk, he thew his arm over her shoulders, "Don't you worry little lady! Will find that CO of ours lickity-split."

It had been over an hour and they still hadn't found him. Bones had taken her up and down the base, sure that they'd find him at next haunt. She was beginning get worried, if they took much longer they'd miss the shuttle to space.
Maybe they should head back H-

"Captain! There you are!"

Eh?

"We've been looking everywhere for you, your supposed to be meeting wit-" The other man pauses when he sees you, "you did it again didn't you."

At that Bones then clutches his sides and burst out laughing.

"I'm so sorry for him, I'm Second Lieutenant Larry Foulke and that idiot over there is my Captain, Captain Roy Fokker."

"Wha?"

"Yes, yes, I know you can yell at him when we get to space, I'll also induce you to Shin when we get there but for now, Move!"

"Ah sure..."

This squad sure was interesting.

Well at least the rest of the squad looks competent as long as they are anything like their other world counterparts. Just hope we stay away from any romantic storylines I want to focus on the war. I would prefer to just be friends with people instead of getting involved with them.
