The other patrol's Battlecruiser was docked to a Zeon supply ship, if you remember correctly it was the Lancelot. You could just see the main guns and control tower over the Zeon ship. You see two Atlas-Class Destroyers above and to the right further back.

Yeah, supply ship in the middle of a short range patrol like this is a pretty big yellow flag, especially with the poor sap they have on the coms failing miserably at coms discipline.

Earhnoids (I still kind of hate that word) and a Earth-aligned Spacenoids are a little suspect of the peace but mostly chalk it up to Prime Minister Enrico being 'pro-Spacenoid'. Zeon's civilians are just happy to be officially recognized.
huh never thought they actually thought of him that way but I guess that would happen if you recognize Zeon
Hmm you know instead of actually unification maybe try a UN space version of earth to Zeon and the earth federation
