Combat summery: Group one under "Crossbones" moved to flank the enemy's attacking force. En-route they were engaged by a purple Zaku 2 command type, they engaged by this enemy ace for the entire exercise. Group two under "Pixie" was to act as a forward intercept force. They were also engaged by an enemy ace, this one in a red Zaku 2 command type. After the engaging the enemy ace the group was split in two, one group move to engage a group of Zaku 2s who had bypassed the team while the other had engaged the ace. They were unable to reach the attacking force before they hit group three. Group three could not withstand the overwhelming force as the group leader, 1st Lieutenant Shin Kazama, was force into a three on one fight well his supporting forces were decimated.

We will need to get better ships, maybe something with more AA and ditch the torpedoes.
We need the torpedos and heavy guns to deal with the armada. More AA might be useful against the mechs that the Armada has but most of those will be dealt with by our own MS forces. We should upgrade units like with rapid-fire missile boxes. Those should give our ships much more protection from the swarms the Armada can field.
 
Correct me if I'm mistaken, but after mobile suits enter mass production and use don't most ship designs lean towards either full MS carrier or spinal mounted anti-capital-ship cannons designs? (With anti-MS and fighter point defense for both).

Also it looks like the MC is going to live up to her char pic at least? Criticals be silly. Too early to say if it's Sage dice or not though I think.

Do you have good source on Marcross? I am not as familiar with that series. Only watched 0 and half-watched 7.

I have seen some of it but the Armada that shows up is pretty big and the swarm is just a by-product of having so many ships and personnel to begin with. Mostly the early stuff I watched didn't get to into it so I use the wiki for most of the info. I am a bit more versed in Gundam lore though so that is why I stick to that side mostly with the Possible extent we can push our MS development.

Hence my comment about being a newtype when suddenly a massive hostile fleet shows up with all the civilians scattered around in vulnerable space colonies.

Although maybe the solar array, grand canon, and/or colony laser will be put to good use?

What exactly are you looking for in government rebuild write in?

Plan focus on rebuilding the government and selecting new ship class. Refit the Zudah will be sufficient as it is a good machine on paper, but improvement to Zuke I (MS-05) is not necessary since there are Zuke II flying around. RX project is near completion too, and we can mass produce GM-series; i know the basic is pretty bad but the latter variant is respectable.

Get an ethics committee (looks like we care about fairness to public)

Hm. On the topic of a call sign while it is somewhat cliche Valkyrie makes sense seeing as Alexandra both made the call that resulted in Pixie going right that resulted in them shooting down a squad of mobile suits.

So I can see it as something that would occur to Pixie, and any grumbling on Alexandra's part would make it stick.

Rebuilding the government is the obvious choice. I'm inclined to only establish the ethics committee after we've overhauled the bureaucratic infrastructure simply to avoid giving them more weapons against possible reform.

The fleet tactics is unlikely to succeed, but necessary to push for until it passes. None of the other ones seem like an obvious pick, and the Zudah production will require us to pick the relevant reconstruction. I'd honestly prefer throwing both actions on the fleet tactics if possible.

It seems rather hard to run a counter Ops when you lack a solid core of spies.

Focus on the RX project until we have intel on the enemy. Also keep the individual on ice until we have information from the computer to interrogate her with.

Save resources for our own ms design, pick the Zudah if we really really want mobile suits before the RX project, or my preference pick the Zaku upgrades to keep Zeon guessing what we're up to. Also if the upgrades just happen to leak to Zeon well... well it is best to have it happen on something that isn't the RX, and well we're not alone in the galaxy.

For call sign I can see Valkyrie being something Alexandra wouldn't particular like due to her Guilty Protector trait, and something Pixie might propose due to her deeds in the recent mock battle. I'd also recommend training her melee skill as it is at a 2/10.
 
Call signs need to wait until we earn it. One good showing in the exercise does not a call sign make.

So for this plan the name of the game is improving and streamlining things.

For the government we need to rebuild it in order to make full use of our resources, but we also need to start chipping away at the monstrosity we call our bureaucratic infrastructure. It is unlikely to be done this turn so going to have to take a couple more but that's fine.

For military now that we have plenty of proof as to both the viability and advantages of MS combat it's time to revamp tactics and doctrine. We also need to start designing a new MS carrier the other new ships can be developed as we get more tech from the ship.

Right intrigue and spy work we need to rebuild our core with loyal agents before we start trying to counter other operations. It would be more effective than trying it right now when the spy corps is probably no more than a handful of agents.

Research continue the RX project it is entering the mass production phase so we need to keep pushing. As more tech is found and developed we will keep making new models.

Leave the Alien on ice we are not ready for it yet.

For the Alien ship have both teams working on the generators power output is very important if we want to develop effective weapons to use against the Armada and it's forces.

For the upgrades yes to both more for the Zudah because it is a good MS once the problems are fixed. But eve upgrading the Zaku I will give us valuable knowledge and experience working on MS and with how cheap the Zaku is gives us a very rapid build up time.

Spending time and getting to know our Commander is important to team Dynamics and future operations.

No new call sign we have not earned a new one yet like I said above. Also both of the two currently given pale horse, and Valkyrie mean death. Specifically death to either everyone or to your allies respectively.

I feel that we should stay focused on the Generators, like I said earlier. Putting both teams on that should help us complete it quickly, after which we can move onto the computers.

Hey now, the GM is a rather good MS. The Dom was only slightly better than it, and the Rick Dom was actually worse. The Gelgoog was of course way better, being comparable to the Gundam in quality after all.

-[] "Pixie" took Alex's complaints about being called "Nugget" to heart, and proposed new ones until he got an even stronger reaction out of Alex with "Valkyrie" who proceeded to make it permanent by taking issue with it.

Also considering Alexandra is feeling overwhelmed from being in a squad of aces it makes sense for her to train. Feel free to comment on my plan, and/or make suggestions on how it can be improved.

Again we haven't earned a new call sign yet. And Valkyrie is a very bad one because like I said it means death to our allies. Because a Valkyrie is someone who carries the honored dead away. In the context we're not taking other side pilots we would be taking our own so it doesn't work. In fact it would be extremely insensitive and completely misreading her views.
 
I know everyone is jumping on the government reformation but I'm wondering if that might be better served by having the bureaucracy torn apart before we remake it so it can be made with the new bureaucracy in mind?

I mean governments can survive short-term shutdowns as America just proved in the past couple of months really.

On the other hand a new official government might be able to better throw it's weight around to smash anyone trying to use the red tape out of position and influence.

I'm on the full reform train because I don't want to let the hyped up public support turn cold. The red tape is too troublesome for our federation to quickly responsed to crisis and opportunities. The ethic committee I feel will get in the way of reform so maybe later?

Again we haven't earned a new call sign yet.

It is a call sign not a moniker, so anything better than nugget should be okay. Maybe fox or something.
