More worrying fact is...
Gihren was smiling.
That can't be good.

Gihren's default mood is always smirking when he is not -_-

His rule remains unchallenged and he can claim some prestige for "helping" the Federation reform. We now do not have any CB on Zeon and have picked up the burden of protecting the whole of humanity.

From his point of view it's a complete victory.

Awesome entry.

"They have done this to hide the the darkest secret in Federation history."

Degwin Zabi leans forward in his chair.

"That they a murdered a great man, a champion of peace and equality."

Gihren smirked.

"They did all this to cover up the fact that they murdered Zeon Zum Deikun in cold blood."

I will be honest, when I was reading this, I though you were talking about Ricardo Marcenas.

So KANE!!! is a thing then. Watch out if someone finds green crystals somewhere...

Also, we should ensure to arrange an accident for Ghiren, just to be sure.

End of Nod and New Beginnings
Gihren had to applaud the audacity of the man, claiming to be working with Zeon before offering the joint trial meant that it would be impossible to turn it down.

It was the kind of political gamble he could appreciate.

It was because of that gamble that the man was now sitting next to him in the court of Side 3.

Ericson Enrico was shorter than average, he held a full head of greying hair and was not nearly a fat as you would expect the head of the Federation to be. His eyes seemed to be constantly steeled with some purpose.

Gihren turned his head his head away from the man and toward the current case.

The crimes were: "treason, violation of human rights, assassination of a political leader, and sexual exploitation of a minor." He, of course, pleaded not guilty to all of them. Then when the evidence was presented it took the jury and the judge all of five minutes to convict him.

That may have also been due to the up coming case.

Lucius Kaine, the man whom ordered the assassination of Zeon Zum Deikun.

Gihren had been hopping for something like "Operation: Cain's Stone", something that would kill the Federation from the inside out.

And yet it didn't, Gihren mused, that man turned something that should of destroyed his nation into something to make it stronger. Perhaps I should keep a closer eye on him.

His attention was stolen by Lucius Kaine himself, a tall, bald man with a well trimmed goatee. Honestly the man looked evil, and yet, he had a aura of charisma. The way he never stopped smiling, the way he strode up to the defendant's chair with a strange sort of confidence.

However it was what he did when his crimes were read to him. Gihren had been expecting a long protracted battle, with Kaine jumping through loop hole of after loop hole. Instead he pleaded guilt to all of them, all well wearing a smile.

Gihren was happy that the trial wasn't going to take long, perhaps I should go out to dinner with my family to celebrate, maybe even invite my secretary. But what should I say we're.... ah I Know.

New Beginnings.

Later during his execution Lucius Kaine was asked what he wanted his last words to be. All he said was

"I win."

(Trial successful, Zeon will now assist with researching the alien vessel)

... Still not sure if it's actually Kane or an expy. If the latter we're fucked, if the former we're fucked and he's just going to get back up and fuck us up some more because Cain.

Right now I am having the possible theory that this Kane, if you take in one the theories of his origins from C&C, he is actually a Protoculture alien.

EMS-10 Zudah unlocked
This is actually a very good machine with our better technology and materials we can easily upgrade it to the EMS-10F Zudah F

He is getting what he wanted access to the ship and a large amount of legitimacy. While he expects the Federation to tear itself apart we have proven to be a more resilient leadership and organization. He has to respect that.

I don't like this. I don't like this at all. This is fishy as hell.
Not really. Remember this isn't the Brotherhood of nlNod from the games. In this one their goal wasn't domination or gaining power through random alien crystals. The goal was always to bring Humanity unification into existence. We have just done that. We are derailed a possible huge war and are now working closely and joined together with Zeon. Of course he's going to smile and go to his death his goal has been accomplished humanity is coming together.

Glad everyone's having fun

Now writing Battle Turn 1

Battle Turn 1- Training Day
Your not quite sure how "maybe we should do a team training exercise" turned into "lets volunteer to test the new Mobile Suits in the upcoming joint exercise", but here you are.

Your not even sure how to fly this thing!

"Hey nugget, you all right?" Came Larry's concerned voice over the coms.

[] "Yes I'm fine, I'll just fly it like my old Saberfish." (-5 to all rolls)

[] "Yes I'm fine, I'll just fly it the best I can." (-20 to maneuver rolls)

This is probably the smartest move we can take. While -5 to everything is not great a -20 to maneuvering is much worse. Maneuvering around the battlefield is the main strength of a mobile suit. Taking such a huge hit to those rolls it's not going to end well for us.

Why is it that we get the zaku 1? Our wingmen are dicks keeping the good ones for themselves and giving us the less advanced version. Though if it is easier to pilot that might be why.

Roy did his best, but he couldn't justify giving one of the limited Zaku 2s to an untested pilot.

Its a Ms-05, damages due to training is expected.

No, I don't accept that. One bad guy gets what's coming for him and poof, the world is united, just like that?

It can't be that simple. This is the Universal Century, not the Cosmic Era. There has to be a catch.

Errr no i didn't mean that? I meant Gihren got what he wanted with flattering public support as opposed to Federation fighting him tooth and nail.

The catch? Maybe Fed/Zeon joint research triggers earlier green man invasion. :V
