I know Tongs are dead, but I like it when the wizard lady does wizard things, so what if we used the magic of friendship instead? My immediate thought was that Ulgu folks use illusions and mind stuff, and with Windherding we can sort of do multi-wind casting, so what if we made a spell that lets us share the sensory experience of our Wind sense among collaborators? Or if that's too soul-deep to grab, something like a shared mental diagram of what each caster is doing that everybody can update as they cast something in the same physical space. If the mental map is accurate enough, and each collaborator is precise with the positioning of their Wind so that they don't intersect their strands of Wind, then we could be the progenitor to a multi-Wind magical tradition that's actually teachable to others without absurd Windherding powers. Maybe I don't have my lore pinned down, but Ulgu has plenty of illusion spells that can replicate sensory experiences, so it seems plausible that one could develop a mindlink-esque spell of this ilk by modifying an existing Illusion spell that fits the bill, and there's probably not many other human wizards that are better positioned to actually pull it off than we are.
That isn't super relevant right now though. A branch college project maybe? Just a thought.
