Thoughts on how we might take the Road of Skulls over the gap:
-Asarnil and Deathfang fly off to fetch a tree or two (if there are trees nearby on the road, this step may be unnecessary)
-Dwarfs fashion tree into a quick wooden slats platform/bridge
-Max casts Law of Form to make it hard as steel
-Mathilde casts Rite of Way to fill the gaps
The result would behave like a temporary solid steel platform that can be placed over the gap in the road, AIUI.

Do we really need to talk to the Ice Witch if we are doing the theft? I mean it takes a week to steal the thing, that should be plenty of time to talk to her on the way.
