I don't want to deal with the slaves if there's nothing we can do about them. More supplies seems like a straightforwardly good idea. The arm and papers seem like things that would take time and energy we don't really have, but the nut is something we have a greenhouse and a girlfriend to work with on.
Unless we plan to visit the Slave Hall and try to buy/rescue some VIP, I see no reason why not to buy everything, it is not like we have any other places to spend that money during the Expedition

@BoneyM couple questions
First, how does Mathilde intend to transport the food if she buys it? (or, what options seem apparent?)
Second, wasn't there going to be a social scene with Gotrek last turn that was superseded by the Vlag business? I feel like you said we'd get to it once Vlag is resolved, but we never did?

Does Mathilde buy the barrels of salted meat using Borek's money?
[] MEAT: Yes
Does Mathilde purchase the golden arm for 800 gold coins?
[] ARM: Yes
Does Mathilde purchase the Ghyran nut for 1000 gold coins?
[] NUT: Yes
Does Mathilde purchase the explorer's writings for 200 gold coins?
[] PAPERS: Yes

Probably people worrying about AP hell.

If that is a fucking acorn from the Oak of Ages, then here's something for context.
The Oak of Ages grows acorns all year round, but sheds them only when Ghyran, the Wind of Life, reaches its height. These magical seeds are diligently gathered by Ariel's handmaidens, and planted in those regions ofthe forest that have been ravaged by war or wildfire. Such is the bountiful magic in these acorns that they can grow from seed to sapling, to towering oak in a matter of seconds. This magic too is the reason that the seeds must be gathered swiftly upon their fall. The last squirrel that consumed an acorn from the Oak of Ages stomped much of King's Glade flat, and was brought down only by the combined armies of three high realms.

No, it is obviously not from Athel Loren.

It is from "Somewhere", which is defnitiely not just the name of the encampment that the Druchii briefly established within the Athel Loren, but if it was it would be legally distinct from the forest itself.
And that would fly reaaaaally well with the dawi zhar looking for the slimmest excuse to kill you and take your stuff.

If it is so, than the corsair is in violation of customs law and his life is forfeit.
Unless he paid the extra fee to be allowed to deal in such dangerous goods. I feel like this is the sort of place where if you answer "yes" to "did you bring any brass orbs with you" they respond "That'll be a 5000 gold brass orb monitoring fee and we'll stick you in the disposable region of the city"

Some spellsingers that travel abroad carry an acorn with them.

Much more likely than the Drucchi managing to penetrate Athel Loren all the way to the Oak.

Yah I to feel we should visit the slave hall just for the possiblity to buy/save some VIP and if their not any we can leave this horrid place
I'll quote Boney here to cut this off before it starts.
- The phrase 'no harm in looking' should be avoided when debating the Hall of Slaves. Mathilde is a strongly moral person in her own way, and she follows the God of freedom from tyranny. What she sees could leave her unbalanced for some time. It could leave a permanent mark on her. It could put her in a position where she has to choose between choosing to do something risky and/or expensive and/or strategically unsound, or being unable to look at herself in a mirror.
Mathilde wouldn't be able to live with herself unless she can save everyone there.

Point

First, how does Mathilde intend to transport the food if she buys it? (or, what options seem apparent?)

It's a trade hub. She could close her eyes and throw a brick and she'd probably hit someone that would transport it for her if she threw silver at them instead of bricks.

Second, wasn't there going to be a social scene with Gotrek last turn that was superseded by the Vlag business? I feel like you said we'd get to it once Vlag is resolved, but we never did?

I didn't want to lock you in to a decision made before Karak Vlag changed the scenario so drastically, so I refunded the action - that's why there were five options instead of four last vote.

@BoneyM I assume that on those 2800 gold coins it is not included the silver that we promised the Kurgan, no?

The 2800 gold is the amount of money Mathilde has back at K8P, and thus can reimburse once the Expedition returns home. The Expedition has approximately one metric fuckload of money, because Dwarves.

Should we turn them in to the officials? Or not. The elves could use a reason to invade this place.

Mathilde doesn't know what an Oak of Ages is.

What is the Oak of Ages and what would be the likely consequences of Panoramia poking at it if it is an acorn from that tree?

We might want that money after the expedition.
[ ] NUT: No

Chaos wastes + unprotected, untainted seed of life. I don't think it will turn out well.
This is a good point, keeping it intact is by no means guaranteed.
