Does Mathilde visit the Hall of Slaves?
[ ] HALL: Yes
[ ] HALL: No

This is a bad idea and would be best suited for when we have time to do some Missionary work, so like a decade from now.

Does Mathilde buy the barrels of salted meat using Borek's money?
[ ] MEAT: Yes
[ ] MEAT: No

It's literally why we came here.

Does Mathilde purchase the golden arm for 800 gold coins?
[ ] ARM: Yes
[ ] ARM: No

Kinda interesting, seems kinda sus, probably not worth it. Might be a useful Chamon thing for our Goldies?

Does Mathilde purchase the Ghyran nut for 1000 gold coins?
[ ] NUT: Yes
[ ] NUT: No

Feels like a power up we'll burn to try to use our Roots to kill a Bloodthirster.

So absolutely worth it.

Does Mathilde purchase the explorer's writings for 200 gold coins?
[ ] PAPERS: Yes
[ ] PAPERS: No

It's cheap, comparatively, and is a source of Lore that we won't have access to otherwise.

The meat... Yeah, I wouldn't feed that to any human or dwarf, but I think obligate carnivores have stronger stomachs so our knights' rides could probably eat it. Not sure if worth it though, considering we already have a plan to get less suspicious meat. The fact that the Kurgan are less suspicious than this is an indictment all on it's own.

Now for the miscellaneous goods of strange provenance... I want that nut, any Jade Wizard would be thrilled with that thing. The arm seems kinda pointless, we don't even know why it is interesting. The notes are fairly cheap, and a good example of Lizardmen goodies that isn't cursed.

Anyhow, I'm keen on those Lustrian writings. And even if there isn't anything interesting, we could always send word to Ulthuan about their lost researcher.

We should not visit the slave hall unless we are intending to start a metric ton of trouble.
Like, seriously, we are not going to walk out of that hall without starting something.

We could come back on the return trip for other shinies and slaves maybe instead ? And we would have to have the right mindset to go the slave hall even then to free some people with metric tons of dwarf money ? But on the return trip to be honest seems alot wiser.

And dont find the gold thingie worth much but i think we should buy the other stuff as far i can tell and we might be able to write off the stuff to the expedition or as a reward for pulling vlag into reality ,

I wonder what the Knight's reaction to our supply run will be.

"Here is a leaking barrel of some very suspicious looking and smelling meat that I have procured in the Chaos wastes, enjoy."

What is the Oak of Ages and what would be the likely consequences of Panoramia poking at it if it is an acorn from that tree?
It is the correct name for Athel Loren's Big Tree, and is a very big deal, but probably not actually harmful unless something eats it. It'll grow into a full-grown oak very quickly - which would be interesting to study for Panoramia - and I'd guess the resulting tree would be magical in nature too.

Someone suggested it could instead be from the Oak of Prophecy, in which case eating it will give you terrible stomach cramps and give you a vision of the future.

I would be inclined to buy it even without any OOC information, because it's an interesting project for Panoramia, so I feel comfortable expounding on it.

"Have you brought any of the following goods to Uzkulak: bound Daemons, precious stones or metals from Nehekhara, any seed, bud, fruit, or cutting from Athel Loren, unshielded warpstone, spherical devices made of brass, Vampire body parts, any item created or possessed by the Skaven Clan Pestilens, gilded skulls made of black bones, anything from the Temple-City of Zlatlan, any mummified bodies of large, frog-like beings, unshielded wyrdstone, any kind of projectile capable of moving on its own, any of Kadon's Scrolls of Binding, golden whistles, instruments stringed with unicorn hair, keys made of crystal, or any sort of stone that glows with a green light?"

I see most of the items listed here are either bound daemons, bound daemon like things, or things that will have angry owners on their way. Also, I like how they specify Warpstone three times.

gilded skulls made of black bones
Is this one of the necro pirate things? I recall something about how they hand out skulls that grant captians some degree of necromancy and make the ship end up in Harkon's fleet when the crew inevitably dies.

any mummified bodies of large, frog-like beings
How the hell could they end up with a mummified Slann? I'd imagine that would get the entire Temple-City after you.

Hey can our Light Wizards cast Cleansing Glow? That would make the meat edible even if it is spoiled.
We have a Candle of Cleansing Glow, which might be able to replicate that effect.

Neat, thanks. I also wanted to buy it to collaborate on a paper with Pan without any idea about its provenance.

The first piece that causes your eyebrows to rise is an arm made of solid gold and covered in sigils you don't recognize. You can sense dormant power within it, and a lot of it. The fingers are razor-sharp talons and the palm has a raised circle you're sure is where that power you sense is output. But though the Norscan selling it does not seem to know anything about its magical properties, he does know solid gold when he sees it, and that puts a solid floor on the price. Eight hundred gold coins is a shockingly exorbitant price for a complete mystery and it's not like you're short of strange things to prod at, but you suppose if all else fails you could resell it for melt value.
This... really sounds like an Old One artifact; specifically something very similar to a piece of Kroq-Gar's equipment, the Hand of Gods which has the bound spell Shem's Burning Gaze. Not sure whether that should encourage or discourage taking it but, yeah.

The armband I think is a tomb king or a Lizardmen artifact. Which could be truly powerful in a chamon user. Which we have 2 of them in our party. as for spending gold anyone have a reason we should not? We really do not spend it on things other than books and adding towers or rooms. Also frankly Mathilde is rich and can get that wealth back. It will just take time.

Thoughts on loot.

Very much No.
Ghyran Nut - Possibly from the Oak of Ages and smuggled past the guards, if we bring it back to K8P, Athel Loren will throw in a free war to go along with it.
Not touching this one for all the money in the world.

Golden Arm - An unknown magical item, with unknown properties, just before we march into the Chaos Wastes. Can't think of an order faction that has anything like it.
Picking up possibly chaos artefacts to carry into the Wastes is a bad plan.

Yes
Papers - Not immediately useful but information on Lustria is both rare, valuable and likely to contain insights we can use.

Meat - Yes - The Demons thought throwing a wrench into our supplies was going to inconvenience us.
Going with Snorri's view here will cause lots of political friction with the people who disagree with him.
Going with Boreks can easily be passed off as us setting up backup stashes in case people targeted our currents ones.
I am far more confident in the latter then the former.

Not sure - Slaves. On the one hand a small crew to help escort our food back makes a lot of sense as we need to get it away from Uzkulak.
On the other hand it s likely to cause more friction with the expedition when we have to explain it.

Which is why it's likely banned from bringing into the settlement.
Remember when Regimand complained about this fool bringing mummy gold into town and they took the quickest ship they had to heave it into Norsca? They likely have the same procedure here.
