I really like how while we've got a completed spell, it's still possible for Mathilde to improve it in multiple ways.
Its only limitation is that it must hug the physical terrain, so it will still curve with hills and will not be able to bridge deep gorges or chart a route into the sky.
Here's a thought: While
Mathilde can't remove this limitation, it's possible that Algard can. He's been working on
Ulgu-as-dimensional-barrier for at least as long as he's had his Screaming Towers. If I was in his shoes and I saw Mathilde's notes on her new spell, I know I'd be thinking of that, though it's not likely he has the AP free to experiment on it.
... could we make AV grenades or shaped charges?
We've had something similar as a possible action for a long time:
[ ] Using the secrets you already know of the Vitae, attempt to weaponize it.
[x] Spell name - Mathilde's Rite of Way
A reason to name everything 'Mathilde's' That no one said yet.
It means that in the spell books, everything made by her will be in the same part of the books!
I think this is vitally important. There should be in the far future an
entire page dedicated to listing out Mathilde's spells. Just a huge section with nothing but:
Mathilde's spell X
-Description
Mathilde's spell Y
-Description
Mathilde's spell Z
-Description
Except, of course, "spell X Y Z" are all puns.
[X] Spell name - Mathilde's Rite of Way
[X] Spend some time exploring the Karak now that everyone has spread out into their hopefully permanent Clan Halls.
