Track the bandits, then get back with a squad of Dwarven rangers kill team, or what Okral that can shoot straight.

Make sure to keep the bandit officers alive for 'questioning'. I'd recon the dwarves got professional torturer er 'information extraction specialist'

Look, the Rangers are good at what they do. Let them track the bandits. What Rangers can't do is search a submerged ship like we can.

EDIT: It'll take a couple of hours and then we can run down whatever trails the Rangers have found, or fuck, just use the MAP to coordinate the hunt.

So I don't think this has been mentioned, but I feel like scouting the Orks might suit Mathilde best. A lot of her skills are geared towards infiltration and scouting, so it might be the best way to use her.

Took a look at the maps, only a few options from the maps in thread on where the bandits could have gone.

East lies goblins and Dwarves, which is a non starter.

South lies more Greenskins, again not likely.

North is them skirting the Forest of Gloom, filled with Forest Goblins, and being in the shadow of the mountains. Possible, if posing as mercenaries, but very unlikely.

Best guess is they are either in a flat out sprint West under cover of darkness, or hiding in whatever nearby villages that spring up and quickly get destroyed in the Border Princes.

... @BoneyM question. the whole searching the ship thing, that Mathilde does. Is this "use Substance of Shadow to go through the wall" and then search normally when we're inside, presumably doing the same thing for every wall we come across, or is it, like, we would need to stay Substanced the entire time we're inside? Because, uh, if the problem is making an entrance couldn't we let Belegar borrow Branalhune to cut holes through the walls? Any water that's in there would come spilling out, and I doubt people would be left alive in those parts anyways... Unless there's some reason another person can't use Branalhune if we're letting them? I mean, it is called Way Opener...

Only the tip of the funnel is above water. Cutting holes in the hull would rather defeat the purpose. Also SoS is as much to not get monched by the skull piranhas as it is to get through the hull.

Belegar has his own quite nice runed axe thank you very much.
Edit: Also like boney said we don't want to let the air out.

"Barak Varr's reinforcements should arrive by dawn," Belegar says as the gyrocarriage begins its descent. "Our first priority is to make sure that nothing further happens to them. Second is answers. Third is vengeance. Understood?"

Boss set the priority, so

[] Use Substance of Shadow to check the wrecked passenger ship for survivors this would be what he's asking us to do.

Oh, okay. I misread that and thought it was, like, halfway onto the bank or something. IF it's mostly underwater... yeah, I don't really think we should go looking for survivors right now. Like, this is a dwarven ship. If anything survived well enough for there to be survivors, those survivors are going to last for longer than a day. And the entire area's being fortified already. They can wait. tracking, can't.
EDIT: Also, you know, if we need SoS to survive creatures in the ship, it'll be rather hard getting people out past those same creatures.
