You can't transfer Favor 1:1.Lets just give the favour to the colleges, it would be nice to have, but the colleges can actually use it productively
You can't really just give favour like that, unless you're talking about the idea to negotiate an alliance. That's not how it works.Lets just give the favour to the colleges, it would be nice to have, but the colleges can actually use it productively
Awesome idea, but I'm not sure even the runesmiths have that kind of pull.Introductions to some of the Ancestor Gods of the Karaz Ankor.
Would it be a substantial improvement? They could make something that is functionally a grounding rod.
Then just ask the colleges what they want and ask for it ourselves. This is a incredible treasure and everything we could use it on would be more a prestige thing, rather than useful for the forces of good (tm)
To me, if it's functionally a grounding rod, it's a grounding rod. Back when I was looking for the price of one in College Favour, one of the votes was for "reusable grounding rod." I wonder if that was viable, and if so, how much more it would cost.
But that would ruin the surprise. No what we need to do is make a unilateral decision, such as requesting a complete upgrade of the college architecture, and just not tell anyone until an army of Runesmiths descend on the colleges tearing them down and leaving better Dwarf grade buildings in their wake. Then we can walk in and mark a smug remark about how much we like what they've done with the place.
Yeah, but there's a difference between being efficient and your "just hand it off to someone else" proposal. That's not being efficient and trustwothy, it's avoiding responsibility for something we earned, and I doubt many of the people who have had to work so hard to get AV actions would appreciate it. Of course, I'm not saying we shouldn't consult others on what could and should be done, if that's possible in the format of the quest, but at least the primary ideas will probably come from us.I want a ressource being used for efficiantly not for awesome. Awesome is good but this is A BIG DEAL.Making such decisions without input from our superiors would make us seem unreliable. And i want to get to lady magister in the next ten rounds
That's actually probably what that whole Rune language would cover, all things considered. Might be a really good idea, actually.Runesmith favor: Teach me enough to be able to help you with Bok
Or... teach me what you think would help me help you with Bok...
We could sketch the shape of the runes for Kragg, that would probably be helpful...Runesmith favor: Teach me enough to be able to help you with Bok
Or... teach me what you think would help me help you with Bok...
Actually with that much runesmith favours, how much off the grudges the Karaz ankor have toward the empire could we buy off ?I mean, the Empire's been allied with the Dwarves for millennia with plenty of fools (looking at you Dieter) and they're still friends with the Dwarves. As long as all College-Runesmith interactions are restricted to people who are can be trusted not to be stupid, i.e. Lord Magisters and trusted regular Magisters (like us) everything should be fine.
(Though I was always confused about why a wind-seeing item would not have the whole "Dwarves react badly to active magic" problem going on).
Personally, I'd already assumed that would be built into the favour if that is the option we chose. Transcendental is a pretty big deal imo.In a similar vein, Runesmiths having a hand in building and warding a theoretical Great Library would also be awesome.
The most straightforward implementations absolutely would, the tricky part is figuring out a way to create a visualization of Windsight without touching the brainmeats of the viewer.
