I'd prefer to spend favour on a MMAPP room instead tbh.

Mm. Unless we spend the time picking up the MMAPP, then yeah I'll just keep sitting over here hoping to spend favours on getting a hologlobe for the Karak. :V Enchanting up a big item with the garbage original version of the spell ain't great!

Should we actually learn the improved/simplified spell then I'm 100% in on flexing our enchantment skills and making a wicked sick nasty gift for the Boss.

My understanding is the new spell is just made wind generic. There is not any mechanical differences or advantages for the new version.

It is one spell tier lower, and therefor that much easier to cast, and presumably; enchant - so an enchanter as skilled as Mathidle is now would make a better object, or at least that's my take.

Also, if Mathilde learns MMAPP, she might master it, unlike MMAP, which she can not.

What @BeepSmile said, but also if we get all the ducklings to learn it we can presumably do some collaborative art pieces for the next festival or something! :V Pie Week has never been so colorful!

e: I'd be a little surprised if it wasnt improved even minorly, given it was described as being entirely gutted and rebuilt by a Lord Magister, but I suppose the decreased difficulty does count a lot for that haha.

I don't think learning the new map spell would be worth it for the purposes of a single enchantment.

It may be more efficient than what we have per unit of time spent enchanting, but if you consider the AP cost in getting the new spell, the equation changes. We could take one AP of learning and one AP of crafting using an easier spell, or just spend two AP with the current spell for a functionally identical result.

In fact, I think that spending two AP on the normal spell would be better than the split AP in this case, because I don't think the new spell is twice as good as our old one.

As for mastery, I kinda don't want to fish for them by deliberately seeking variant spells to master.

So we've got two frontrunners (Wilhelmina and the We), and then EIGHT other things jockeying for 3rd/4th place (Roswita, Kasmir, Oswald, Lustrian eggs, Julia, Hubert, the canal, and Johann). Wow.

Glad to see Kasmir might get some limelight. Confused how Double-O-boy cardbpard cutout is challenging his spot of socializing.

Oh, certainly. I'm just fascinated by how this is playing out -- usually we don't have quite as many contenders in the mix.
It actually might be a good idea for there to be cool downs on who we social after we talk to them 2 to 3 times, (unless plot) it forces the thread to look at new people instead of just the same three regulars (Kragg, Hidi and Bro-king.)

Cardboard cutout? I mean, I didn't vote for him, but you can't exactly blame Oswald for not being the most interesting character when we've barely interacted with him.

That's fair, guess I just ain't so impressed with the character archetype. Rather check in on characters that are tied to Mathilde more personally.
