Is this new, too?
Unseen: Unless specifically on the lookout for magical infiltration, active defences are no obstacle to you. +2 Intrigue.

If so, presumably the Surreptitious Intervention trait?

Yes, and the +2 it hasn't been added to our intrigue score yet, which will put us at 26 Intrigue. If we get Advanced Assassination, we will be at a 28 intrigue

The Imperial Gunnery School, Southern Branch

Between the large amount of gold and the sheer pride provided by Karak Eight Peaks buying large amounts of Nuln artillery, and Kazrik's actions in Nuln alongside the Grand Count of Wissenland, the Karak was able to score a major coup when it came to the crewing and upkeep of those cannons: the establishment of a satellite campus in Karag Nar.

Facilities:
Artillery Crew Drill School
Maintenance Facilities
Huh, looks like the Imperial Gunnery School branch Kazrik got us is now considered its own organization.

Something unrelated to the coming update, but which I just noticed:
You can literally write the book on a topic for the same amount of effort as two papers; this can be split over multiple turns. You don't need to have all the pieces to do so, but it would be more efficient and impressive if you did.
I had previously thought a book needed to be written all in one turn. The fact that it doesn't means that we can trade turn X's personal action for turn X+1's Serenity action, and personals are wildly more valuable than Serenities. We can do something like this on the turn we wrap up Queekish:

Max: Take dictation
P1: Dictate one dictionary
P2-4: Free
Serenity: Write half of the other dictionary

And then the following turn we use our Serenity action to write the other half of the dictionary. It means not getting to use Serenity on a paper that turn, but swapping a Serenity for a personal means that, if we really wanted to write a paper before it times out, we could use a personal to dictate two papers to Max on turn X+1, essentially gaining one paper for "free" if we so chose*.

*Not really free. Compared to the "do it all in one turn" plan of dictionary-writing, it turns a Max action and a Serenity action into two papers, which is the usual conversion rate... but that applies only when there's a paper Max can write totally by himself, which isn't always the case, and Max+Mathilde teaming up is the route to the highest-quality papers.

Regardless of whether we want to finish up Queekish in the coming turn or if we want to go for spoken Queekish and extend the project by one turn, I think this is a really useful potential optimization to keep in mind for whatever turn we end up writing the dictionaries.

Hmm. That does change things - and personal actions are indeed wildly more valuable than Serenity procs.

What order should we release the lexicons in?

I can see an argument for either case, but right now I'm leaning Reikspeil first - it's unlikely Belegar will begrudge us a six month delay on a khalizid lexicon given the stuff that came up, and getting the Grey College able to examine Skaven writings ASAP and giving Johann a translation guide to the engineer's drawings should be a priority.

There's also the fact that at least a few dwarves are fluent in Reikspiel, while not many humans at all are fluent in Khazalid, so K8Ps could use the Riekspiel dictionary as a stopgap if necessary.

I think that our skills are now good enough that we could trigger that free-for-all on purpose now.

My take would be that Khazalid ought to come first. We're the Loremaster for a dwarf hold, and this is a project that we've undertaken specifically as part of those duties. I agree with you that Belegar would understand, but it shows respect to release Khazalid first; I don't know how the other dwarf kings will react to a translation guide for Queekish being released, but I feel like it will only improve the reception it gets, and make it more likely to be actually used, if we approach the task like K8P's Loremaster rather than if we approach the task like a Grey Wizard who happens to be staying in a dwarf hold. I don't want anyone to think that we're using Belegar's resources for the sake of the Empire first, with his Karak as an afterthought.

EDIT: What I mean is this. We know that dwarves would think of "keeping a skaven captive in order to learn his language" as an un-dwarfy action to begin with. I don't want the other kings and their Head Rangers to dismiss it because it's un-dwarfy, I want them to use it and reap the benefits, and that implies approaching this inherently un-dwarfy thing in as dwarfy a way as possible, so that the cultural barriers are lower.

(I think that the strategic implications of the order are much less important than the PR implications, at least as far as the Grey College is concerned. If we release Reikspiel first, the College still needs to go out and get Queekish stuff before it's any use. If we release Khazalid first and the College knows that Reikspiel is coming soon, they can begin collecting written material with an eye to translating it once the dictionary comes out -- it's an asynchronous operation.)
Dam, need to go to bed, someone remember to defend the one AV action from the new low hanging fruits for me.
Don't worry. There's still a purchase round to go before actual turnplanning becomes available, unless Boney wants to cram everything into one vote and drive himself mad.

This isn't exactly the sort of thing where we instantly turn the tide by releasing this one thing, either. 6 months either way won't make much of a difference in how big a difference it makes, so I don't think we could argue to prioritize one over the other from a strategic standpoint. Given that, politics is probably the way to approach it.

So currently, we seem to have 2-4 free, plus an overwork, for a total of 4 actions.
I'm liking 1 or 2 on AV, 1 for Wolf, and 1 for learning about waystones, and maybe one on Theurgy.

Also, on an unrelated note, our internship with the sneaky elves just became more important, as we can use that to hopefully figure out what the hell the elves are doing with our magic.

Well there is that bundle of strategic reports, though I'm not sure who would get better use out of them.

Alternatively, writing Reikspiel first could be justified with "I've spoken Reikspiel all my life, and am using this as a trial run to do a Khazalid-Queekish dictionary Good And Proper™." Which Dwarves in general could appreciate.

Then again Dreng would probably appreciate having a Khazalid dictionary as soon as possible. He's kind of impatient, by Dwarf standards. And has a lot of captured material to work with, now.

We have to work on the Book/lexicon of Queekish.
I meant personal actions 2-4 free. This includes using the Serenity tower option to save time, and finish one book this turn, and the other next turn.

Could we have Max write it instead? or do we need to participate ourselves? If we have Max write it, then we could do Max + serentity on one book, then doing it again next turn for the second book. I think it depends on if Max speaks Khazalid.

Max speaks and reads Khazalid. I don't think he is as fluent in Queekish as we are, though; he got the medical lexicon for us, but I don't know if he is familiar with the rest of the language. That would prevent him from being able to write a dictionary on his own.

I'd ask Boney to confirm, but I don't believe in pinging him while he's working on an update. After it drops, sure, but I would bet that it's a no-go.
