Is he going to send us some reinforcements now I hope?

"SEND ALL GYROCOPTERS TO KARAK EIGHT PEAKS!"

"-But didn't you just tell them to die well?"

"Yes. The situation has changed. By word of your king, get moving, Beardling! Run to the gyrocopter bay. RUN! NOW!"
We already won that fight. The thing that just happened because Belegar landed at KaK.

I doubt the juice would be more than a drop in a bucket.

We're talking magic collectors on an industrial scale, here.
The juice was compared to the water of the 8Winds' steam.
At average atmospheric pressure, the expansion ratio between water in its liquid form and steam is 1:1700.
And we've got what appears to possibly be an endless source.
Of course, given what we know about the dwarfs now, they'd likely have complaints about throwing 14 gallons*1700 of even more magic into the world, but hey. If it works it works.

Okay, all other implications aside do you know what this will mean for Belegar personally? After all that angsting about whether reclaiming his hold had any worth when they have no need of living space then he finds out yes there is! Turns out reclaiming your ancestral hold literally saved Karaz Ankor from an oncoming collapse! This is going to be great for his stress!

I wonder if this will convince Thorgrim to help go for retaking Karak Drazh? I mean if getting Eight Peaks Back is solving the power drop then getting back Drazh which was also one of the biggest holds back in the day would be even more, maybe enough to get something else online?

One thing I really want to do is work on theurgy and get in contact with the dwarvish Ancestor-gods. If we can get into regular contact with them, there's so much we could learn that would help the dwarves out. Especially knowing about all the Great Works and the Waystone Project, there's a lot of essential infrastructure that we should do everything in our power to get back running.

This only makes me want to pick up that Ancestor-Gods perk even more. It lays the groundwork for future theurgical projects involving the Ancestor-Gods that could potentially be really helpful for the long term health of dwarvish civilization.

The Tectonic Shackle of Thungni, lost, and Thunder Mountain unleashed once more. When it could no longer be permanently garrisoned due to poisonous gases and magma outflows, it did not take long to fall.
That's just next door, I mean I dont know what we'd use Tectonic Shackles for but...i mean why not?

The Sally Port of Gazul, lost, and now every Dwarf fallen far from the protection of Gazul's priests is defenceless.
Our Boy Gazul has a Sally Gate...we need this. I mean I dont know if Gazul has a birthday but we haven't gotten him anything this whole game and he did give us a burning pylon for our living room.

Yeah, that first point is a big one. He just has to find out about it.

Did Belegar's crown just get a data dump from the Throne, giving him a massive inflow of strategic information and context that Thorgrim alone had previously known?
The secrets of the Eternal Throne are now known to only two Dawi...
If the high king is only allowed to sit on the throne, how does he go to the bathroom? Does the Throne of Power double as the Throne of Porcelain?
Dwarves and idols don't poop, didn't you know?

well the issue is that do the Dwarf have the controller for Drazh or not

cause from the look of it, it goes Rune Network < Throne < Controller ( crown) < [insert name here] Hold < Waystone Network excesses energy

can the system reconnect with out a controller to synch up with the Throne ?

Yeah, kinda seems like the ancestor gods didn't quite think this one through.

Then again neither did sigmar when he made the empire, and then just up and left without any sort of designated successor or means of determining one.
He was a level thirty barbarian who tried his best. He didn't have the build variation to put points into bureaucracy.

I choose to believe its power is to control the grobi-smashing super-golem that comes together as the eight Karags of the Silver Depths uproot themselves and form up, Megazord-style.

Let's go, Vala-Azril Force!
Karag Wyr and Karag Rhyn form the feet!
Karag Yar and Karag Nar form the legs!
Karag Lhune and Karag Zilfin form the arms!
Karag Mhonar and Karagril form the torso!
And Belegar's Citadel... forms the head!

Goddamit man! How many time do I have to say it! As awesome as that is if we start getting Dwarf Megazord then the Orcs are going to start growing in size to "Show us why they are called the really Zoggin Big!" in a Megazord fight and the Elves are going to start wearing Kamen Rider Suits!

Is that what you want!

1: We don't know any of this stuff in character. This is the deepest darkest secrets of the dwarven high Kings, passed down king to king for the last 6000 years. And he's not going to be telling us, even with us showing up full of piss and vinegar.

2: if you want to find out if "theurgy" is even viable, then vote for it on plans.

I don't know if he will, but I hope Thorgrim shares all of this with Belegar.

Ever since the expedition ended Belegar has been struggling to answer why he should have done this.

This right here? This is why. If there's a single thing that would cure Stressed, it's this.

Still routing for tongs myself, high magic was part of how this whole power grid was created, the elves and dwarves aren't gonna reconcile anytime soon... so we gotta figure out a way for humans to start doing high magic style shit to pick up the slack.

Does this mean humans invent regular super robots then?

Please tell me we get spiral power and not whatever the fucks going on in evangelion...

It kind of downplays how cool everybody else was. Being proud is fine, but let's not try to push everybody else out of the spotlight, you know? Our contributions weren't that much more than a normal Thane could have provided, they were just in an unconventional direction. The Throngs did most of the actual work, outside of the Trenches.

Mathilde's scouting and understanding of Skaven made all the difference.

And being able to communicate with the dragon.

Well that and the shadow projecting superweapon that totalled a Waaagh.

Mathilde's efforts were critically important. That said everyone else involved deserves part of the credit too.

Still up in the air. Lonesome is a bit strong, though. I seem to remember an army tens of thousands strong that was involved.
Those thirty thousand men and Dawi did fulfill a vital role: they were needed to hold her dick as Big Dick Mathilde swaggered through, knocking over enemy Karags with nothing but the force generated from her massive, free-swinging balls. Birdmuncha popped out with a party, but then he had to tuck his chain when Big Dick Mathilde looked his way.

I'm pretty sure that's how I remember it happening, anyway.

I get that if you asked the ancestor gods about some of these problems, their response would probably be somewhere between "we never expected it to get this bad" and "Holy shit, you guys are trying to run this system with just the throne of power?" but still, you'd think that the (possibly long-term) important warning messages on this system would be something other than a constant noise fit to drive the end user to near-suicidal insanity.

The Great Pumps of Morgrim, lost, and now most believe Zhufbar was named for the miniscule waterfall it now hosts, rather than the torrential flash-draining of the Black Water for the mining of its bed, which destroyed the dark and terrible forests that once dominated what was now known as Averland and the Moot long before the arrival of humanity
What a coincidence that byrrnoth and Wilhelmina are working on a place for all that water to go that isn't the moot...
