Time to drop by Altdorf, test for Magister, then head back to Wurtbad and sit in our Sunken Palace and finally clear out some magic study backlog (swords, juice, book, enchantment) now that we're not burdened with all this troublesome responsibility?
Works for me. Though the only reason I'm not leaving stocks of the juice behind for her to deal with is due to risk of it being dangerous.

Why is it nobody seems to want to join the expedition to Karak Eight Peaks?
Because one of the other CK2 Warhammer quests around here recently had "Join expedition to dwarven hold" sidequest of a similar sort, and it ran for over fifty turns and a year of real time. A large part of the playerbase would rather not have more of that for a long while.

@BoneyM Just out of curiosity, how does the Grey College handle marriage? How does it handle marriage to rich people? To very important people?

a lot of players in this quest were also involved in another Warhammer CK2 quest, called A Dynasty Of Dynamic Alcoholism. In it, the player character helped to reclaim the dwarfhold of Karak Ungor. It took 2 real time years for them to get out of there. They most likely just dont want that again.

So hey. We're no longer an advisor, and after the last results page we no longer have divided loyalties thanks to that group being Very dead.

Will the quest gain a new title? Or a new thread with a new title, to celebrate this occurrence?

I'm not completely opposed to ever going but currently Mathilde is a journeyman who can only call upon a few shepherds for an army. As it stands it would likely be a meat grinder mountain.

Okay why the hell is an entirely subjective measure in there like it's an objective one? Am I supposed to create an entire fictional library for the late Van Hal and then rate them all by how much Mathilde wants to read them?

Creating a one or two sentence description of what sorts of books the late Van Hal possessed which Mathilde considers interesting and therefore takes would suffice, unless you particularly want to get more detailed than that. Based upon their past conversations they shared a taste for mechanics, the undead, and magic, but presumably she isn't into everything that he was.

Not really how I thought of it, I just assumed there might be some dull tomes on Templar history or standard nonsense Witch-Hunter Sigmarite screeds on magic she has no interest in. Feel free to ignore it as 'colour'.

Yeah, I'm not building a fictional library. It'd take at least a week and burn off most of my desire to engage with the quest.

Look, do you want Van Hal's books or not? Because only keeping the 'interesting' books and giving all the 'boring' ones back to Roswita would just make it clear to her that you've looted the contents of his study instead of being some clever having-it-both-ways maneuver.

Keep the books. As for looting... we have a letter from Van Hal saying he gave us books. Looting his library is partially cover for the specific book he gave us.
