Oh, how I'd love to secure the Under-Karagril for Karak Eight Peaks now. But we'd have a lot more trouble and plenty of losses holding it. Better to let the already desperate Mors act as a meatshield that's too tied up in their own fight for survival to attack us.

This seems like the right move. Clan Mors is currently losing, they're on the brink of defeat as best as we can tell, while they're getting dunked on from all sides by enemies. We've already been adjacent to them for a while and generally ignored them, so they're unlikely to raid us in force--especially since while they might get Under Karagril, they're going to have to pay for it by absorbing the raids from Black Crag, and when we do decide to take a poke at them, they're going to have to split their forces between both salients.

Also, I would note, Clan Mors has their center of power here, and we're imposing attrition on them courtesy of the We, if we can then subsequently sabotage their capacity to restore their numbers, we'd be able to choke them out fairly quickly. At least in theory.

This way, they get to redouble their efforts against Skyre and Eshin, while holding the bag for defeating Moulder rather than it coming down on us. The ratmen are next on our list, but that doesn't mean we should jump the gun.

We're not UNprepared, as the fact we've had a run of very successful assassinations and mission proves, but we are UNDERprepared compared to what we could be. Unprepared implies we're lacking in competence, while underprepared is more that while we do have competence, it's not quite to the level we'd prefer. @BoneyM, is this write-in okay?

No, it's just quibbling about the choice of word instead of an actual difference in what's being voted for.

Eh... to me, there is a very real (and significant) difference in the meanings of the two words and what they suggest Mathilde's taking from this, but I'll not argue over it.

A few Silver Fang vs Red Fang skirmishes later, you findllay reach the mercenaries of the Border Princes
finally
Very little moves faster than the news of a fallen leader spreads through an army,

Well. That went better than expected. Would having Mors be equal to the other Skaven clans be better in the long run? I know faar too little about Skaven to even guess.

Hmm. The point about the Red Fangs opening up a new front is a good one. Particularly in the sense that if the Red Fang start sending Boyz to Fite Undah Da Mountain the other orcs will hear about it in any number of ways so it might actually act as an attractor for Badlands Greenskins more than our current situation is. Good point @Alectai. I'm willing to take the risk the Skaven as a whole look up to avoid that.

A suitable end to the day's activities.

you flicker the Rune of the Unknown to allow Branulhune to shed the blood and gore it had accumulated
…Kragg created a self-cleaning sword as a side effect. We owe him so much.

Either do it properly or not at all.

I do not want this to be a major thing. Either go for something we can fix quickly or don't sweat it.

Regimand told you it ages ago: you really should learn Shroud of Invisibility.

I'm really tempted not getting involved in the underway fight. maybe let molder have it because of all the factions they are likely to be the one most pressed underground, but at the same time they are likely the ones best at nasty surprises like plagues and poisons.

Mind, it was quite a while ago, and i gather we didn't actually get very far in learning it, so its really a case of there not being a functional difference between 'you haven't started learning it' and 'you have forgotten what little you learned about it years ago', i guess?

Correct.

Also, for anyone whohas a better sense of geography in the setting, what relevant connections to the karagril underground choice are there again? Can't remember which of them would be isolated, or facing what, in eachchoice...

[X] Clan Mors

Our biggest advantage against the forces of destruction has always been infighting it is best to keep that happening as long as possible. Mors had a desperate modifier here which means without winning here they might not survive to continue keeping the skaven divided.

The two option I like the most, basically if you are having a problem with what you are doing get better at doing it.

Orcs are a safe choice. We are getting used to fucking up orcs.

This is the kind of complacency Mathilde just told her minions not to fall into. And then almost fell prey to it herself. So, probably a fair warning about that and thinking killing Orks and Warbosses will become a routine for Mathilde being a bad idea.

Regardless of how many Warbosses/would be Warbosses she kills.

Obviously we won't know what's actually happening until Mathilde investigates, but I have to imagine getting a negative result on a roll had some repercussions for whoever that is.
My personal idea is that Clan Eshin is using whatever is there as practice for their assassins, and so they are utterly terrified of their own shadows at this point and have just barricaded themselves into small rooms with flickering candles and couldn't care less about what is happening outside.
