While I'd prefer to return the armor, if it's a pick between reforge and nothing, I'd rather do nothing. Let's not participate in the destruction of old dwarven artifacts that don't really belong to us. That will only further piss of the Old Holds.

I dunno, it's still pretty funny to me.

My main point is that I love the Sky-Thane as a character, as he is intelligent, entertaining and very humanely flawed and I am looking for more interactions with him.
 
Looking at the tally on break, the only thing I can add is that it's pretty obvious Ubersword is gunna win, so we might as well not half ass is when the option to have it made out of Gromril is on the table. Besides Belegar is on good terms with all the other holds save Kaza Karak and the Slayer Hold is neutral.

I'd say that as a matter of honour let's just...get a request for sword in, but not poke armour issue at all.
If Belegar thinks that with our request in mind it's best to reforge gromril into sword (and whatever else can be forged out of however much gromril we stole), so be it. If he thinks otherwise, well....it is their relic.

We're about to have actions on teaching the Spider to talk if Belegar wants to try and ally with the spooders. We're going to want those linguistic books.

Two points:
1) It doesn't currently really belongs to anyone, otherwise any option besides returning it wouldn't even be considered.
2) We are not destroying an old Dwarven artifact. We are reforging it, because it's already broken. It's likely going to be reforged either way.

The way books work has been changed since then. This purchase is next turns purchase effectively, we won't be able to grab books for unexpected actions. So if we want help tutoring them, we need those books now.

Book buying is now limited to the end of turns and can't be done at the start, to head off that kind of buying books right as we need them.

Pretty sure as far as the Dwarves are concerned, whichever dwarf last wore it still has a primary claim to it, and though him his family, clan and Hold. Try that shit with manlings. You recover Gromril and the dwarves will ask for it first, and try and buy second, but boy will they shun you if you won't let them get back what they see as rightfully theirs.

Ubersword isn't going to be half-assed.

No respectable rune smith is going to shortcharge the reward for tearing down enemy leadership in Karag Lhune, Karag Nar and the Citadel.

Let's not look greedy because for 25 favours Mathilde will receive the best sword the Dawi can make.

Really this is a thing where we can rest back and expect to be pleasantly surprised.

We literally have no clue who that dwarf was though, We took it off a dead Skaven.

Well, that is unfortunate, but my point still stands. Until the leading plan removes significant portions of romance spending, I cannot vote for it in good faith. The next leading library plan has linguistics, I voted for it, along with 23 others so far. If enough of the original library voters can swap over, that plan can beat no purchase.
