This next turn will be hilarious from BelegarQuests PoV. As far as they can tell, the only reason Mathilde held off on purchasing a weapon during downtime was so she had time to casually stroll into the middle of the most heavily fortified part of the Skaven underground lair and steal more free Gromril to work with than he's likely seen in his entire life.

Also: Mathilde is really going out of her way to prove that Sigmar wasn't that impressive, by replicating all his founding myths herself. :V

Alliterate - points out large risk

You - points out something that mitigates risk somewhat, but not all that much

I feel like your posting is missing the part where you go, "But that said, you're absolutely right Alliterate. Loads of greenskins and skaven speak Reikspiel just fine. I just wanted to be technically correct, but I acknowledge that by no means invalidates your point."

I mean some skaven and greenskin speak Reikspiel most actually don't.

Skaven language is Queekish. Orcs language is goblin tongue.

Edit: Grumbraugh is the Ogre language.

Oh yeah. We should send a letter to the College so we can learn Invisibility and Throttling. Its a perfect combo.

Combo with what? Does Sigmar throttle people invisibly, or is it just for better Skaven Slaying?

It'd presumably have to be a spell variant being as it's invoked by the non-language-user... so it'd make sense to me if it worked as a 'The We to Other Language', as opposed 'Reikspiel to Any Other Thinking Creature' when Seija casts it.

We were told by BoneyM that the amber college can't make an item for the dwarves to speak to spiders, as no amber wizards know Khazalid. So, the maker of the artifact needs to know the language everything else will be translated to.

Invisibility I agree- if we'll be doing Super Dangerous Scouting (and gosh darn it it seems we will) it'd be very useful to cover us while we scoot from (Substance of) Shadow to Shadow.

As for Throttling- I mean, I know mechanically it's not identical to the inescapable fluff effect of Throttling, but narratively it feels like we get 1d3 casts of this per round when we invoke our TerrorShadowTendrilsTM.

However, they can't make an item to let the Spiders speak Khazalid. Luckily, Dwarfs can speak Reikspeil, so they can communicate with the spiders that way.

I think the Spiders are best against the Skaven due to a variety of reasons but I wouldn't say no to welcoming them into the community

I personally don't think our recommendation is really needed but it's fun to vote anyways. While Francesco sounds like he would be the best having a female Bretonnian Questing Knight is too cool not to vote for

Honestly, think the armor is more a dwarf decision so we shouldn't make a recommendation. Though if I had to chose I think countering the holds diplo malus a little is the best use of the recovered armor.

I'm not completely certain about this entire block of books given I copied most of it from other people. I removed the romance books for languages we can't read since I feel that's kind of a waste. But in exchange, I did add Extensive, Antiquarian College and Dwarf versions of Waystones and Henges which I feel will be of great help for our job given how 8 Peaks apparently is filled with the things and how we will probably going to be dealing with all the neglect the greenskins and Skaven have caused them.

I really hate this rune vote since first and second place are both extremes of maximum favor sword and the opposite of making nothing when I like neither of those two options. I just want a 15 to 20 favor sword since that should be more than enough but the vote it so split because of how it's set up it's inevitable that Max Sword is going to win with the only way I can even hope to fight that being voting to have no runes which just feels wrong. I would much rather this was a vote between favor amount or what we're getting than everything at once.

My point isn't so much about Reikspiel, it's that we probaby shouldn't take the risk of putting an object into the pedipalps of the Spider-We that allows them to communicate with others, considering all the Other We around here are our enemies.
I think all that convinced The We that we might be Not-Food was that by the time we started speaking, we'd successfully avoided becoming such food.
The We already have a sometimes-not-food relationship with Greenskins, who I gather sometimes ride spiders. Why (possibly) make that an easier deal to strike?

This was a tough one for me, a large part of me wanted to not give a recommendation since we'd be biased.

However, on further examination, I have managed to square the circle for myself. Belegar having the armour forged into 1 sword and three dwarven axes, each with an identical mark for K8P on the blade or hilt, would be a phenomenal example of the forces that went into and will continue to carry us through the re-conquest. Even if that sword is not ours I would still consider the gesture worthwhile.
With this in mind, I'm willing to vote for it.

Agreed. Especially since the general communication issue is a problem for next turn or later.

Makes sense. We can give them magic items once they prove their reliability, same as integrating them.

If you read the context, that statement was used as a counterclaim to the statement that an amber translator will allow the spiders to talk to everything in k8p, clarifying, that the only language suchban item can translate to is Reikspiel.
