[X] Disdain for Sigmar > Polytheist: Your bitterness towards Sigmar has softened with time and distance. You're still not thrilled with him, but as long as his followers are coexisting with those of other Gods, you can deal with it. +1 Piety, removes anti-Sigmarite penalty except when dealing with Sigmarite supremacists and monotheists.

Not sure about the other trait, but I want this. Nice progression for Mathilde as she goes from being against all Sigmarites to being against the worst of the religion, which I consider to be a good thing.

[X] Practical > Hands On: Wait, you can just get other people to do the paperwork? Why didn't I think of this sooner? +1 Diplomacy, +1 Stewardship, +1 Martial, +1 Intrigue, -1 Learning, +10 bonus to insights developed 'in the field' (as opposed to careful laboratory study).

Weber setting up a center of practical mage experience isn't the worst idea, and getting lots of paper out will allow favors for other nifty things.

I'm neutral to most options, so I'm only going to vote for these.

[X] Avatar: You're growing worryingly familiar with being used as a conduit by deities. ???
Yes. I DO Want a Trait that's EXPLICITY about becoming an Avatar Of Ranald Thank You Very Much.

[X] Windreader > Windsage: Your magical senses see more than your normal ones. +2 Learning, even more able to see and understand emotion and magical effects in others.

And I like this option, since it syncs with the above, the bonus Learning is great when we want to do a bunch of research or Wizardry, and the Narrative Bonus is a nice topping.

Ooooh, those traits.

[x] Windreader > Windsage: Your magical senses see more than your normal ones. +2 Learning, even more able to see and understand emotion and magical effects in others.

Windsage almost certainly. I want.

There's a lot of choices among the other stuff; I'm actually tempted by Hands On, even though it'll be a penalty for studying snekjuice or other things in the awesome lab we're going to have, simply because it encourages going out and finding interesting stuff in the wild to poke in a way I like.

I'm really liking both Magical Duelist, for the miscasts, and upgrading our Wolf Familiar

Edit: now I see that I somehow missed the freaking AVATAR trait....sigh such misfortune!

@BoneyM, are we going to be able to develop spells themed along the line of our new trait choices, as with Warrior of Fog?

New avatar is very nice, by the way. We're really working for the Karak now!

You can have two new traits or two replaced traits or one of each. Wizard recruitment will be in plan format because it would be optimal to have two or four without the trait, or three with it.
Also, glad to be along on this wild ride BoneyM, I hope we're to celebrate Update 200 and more together.

Also like the new Avatar.

[ ] Bureaucrat + Practical: Scholarship is just a specific form of paperwork. You can live with it. Combines the two traits, +2 Learning, remove penalty to writing papers yourself.

These are the ones I'm struggling with deciding between the most right now.

Polytheist is probably not the most popular option, but really guys, having an antagonistic relationship with the biggest god of men around is definitely going to bite us in the future.

It's possible, but Warrior of Fog is explicitly a magical affinity so it's a lot more applicable to spell creation.

Thanks, that's definitely the reason for the change. This is no longer Clan Angrund's Expedition. Karak Eight Peaks lives again.

All these traits are amazing, but I think some will see a lot more use than others. Especially since we're the Court Wizard, so we aren't going to be doing as much martial stuff as before. I'll vote for all the stuff I think looks applicable to our duties.

[X] Avatar: You're growing worryingly familiar with being used as a conduit by deities. ???
[X] Polyglot: Your time with the Dwarves has revealed that you have an ear for languages, and learn new languages much faster.
[X] Collegiate: They say managing Wizards is like herding cats. Herding cats isn't actually that difficult. Can manage three other wizards per action spent.

[X] Bureaucrat + Practical: Scholarship is just a specific form of paperwork. You can live with it. Combines the two traits, +2 Learning, remove penalty to writing papers yourself.
[X] Practical > Collaborator: Though you still prefer fieldwork to paperwork, you've found that as long as someone else is doing the actual writing, you're capable of producing some amazing papers. +2 Learning, +20 bonus to dictating papers.
