Also, I want to say how glad I am that Paranoth squeezed in to the social lineup. We got exactly what I was hoping for from that social action: the wizardly, academic context from someone who is used to thinking of Athel Loren in oppositional terms, to go along with the mystical lived experience of someone whose nature is closer to the being in question. Great synergy there, and the headpats in the form of his spit-takes from "you kicked Drycha's ass without knowing who or what that was?" were *chefkiss*.
And so was the "i need a drink" moment after he found out.

Compounding that even further is that between the two of them they have had dealings with just about every Dwarven King and Elector Count in the Old World
I didn't know they had so much interaction across the gamut of ECs. I only knew of Reikland, Stirland, Wissenland and the Moot. Were any others mentioned on screen that I forgot?
Just about every Elector Count has sent at least a representative and a few are here in person
Ooh. I'm curious which ones. The Emperor would have been mentioned separately and Roswita would have interacted with us. That leaves eight possibles.
He coughs into his flagon and only just manages to keep from propelling some of it across the crowd. "Drycha?"

"Who?"

He blinks at you as he wipes his mouth. "Was it led by an Ulgu Branchwraith?"

"Yes, but I didn't get her name before I cut her in half."

He stares at you for a while, and sighs when he realizes you're serious. "I think we need more kestrels. Can you tell me the full report?"
Thank you Boney for stroking our ego. It's very enjoyable.
[ ] Wizard
When Mandred starts to interact with ambient Winds, he should be trained as a Wizard. For the son of the Emperor, all sorts of allowances could be made to keep the disruption to his life as minimal as possible.
[ ] Ranald
Mandred should be fully inducted into the Cult of Ranald and taught to wield His power, and taught to keep anyone else from finding out he has the capacity to do so.
Oof. I can't decide. And I didn't expect that we had to decide so very early, before little Mandred has developed anything like a personality of his own.

When would his training start if he were to go down the path of the Wizard? Four seems so very young for any kind of harsh and diligent education in such dangerous matters.

Also what College? Jade to be close to the land and people he rules? Celestial to see the best path for his fief, as he hovers over it and wields the power of the Empire's patron deity from a parallel universe? Gold, bringing the science, logic and prosperity of a golden age? Amber, so he can be personally be tutored by the Supreme Dragon Patriarch, even if it makes him a most unconventional ruler? Or Grey, to bind him close to his loyal godmother and teach him ourselves, maybe even to the point where he can hide his status when needed?

The dynasty is secure, but they're going to need to find someone else to be the next Emperor/Empress.
To be honest I'm pretty much fine with say Roswita or Boris getting it, neither us a terrible choice all things considered.
Roswita truly understands the kind of threats the Empire is up against, and Boris is likely to improve relations with Laurelorn even further.

This :).

The Grey college:
We don't overtly do politics, but when we do, we go for the flashiest, most attention grabbing politics there is.
Are you wondering what else we're doing in those shadows of ours? Keep guessing.
Also, we don't like not knowing where the Hammer of Sigmar is kept, so we're putting one of our agents close to it.

Not that I can recall offhand.

@Boney out of curiosity, which of the Electors are actually attending the wedding?

To be honest, I'm not sure where to even beging guessing.

Wait and see.

Luitpold and perhaps Heidi would disagree, but in any case it's not our problem.

Wow, everyone going for "Wizard" but I'm not sure you're all quite understanding the incredible gamble you're taking for no real reason that I can see.

1. "Wizard" turns Mandred from firm heir to more-likely-than-not will never be Emperor.
2. Imagine the ugly political fight over which College gets him. Could get real, real bad.
3. Even if he does become Emperor, rule will forever after be undermined. More likely overthrown, more likely assassinated.

Why would you do that to him? What justifies that? Small increase in personal power will not overcome huge decrease in political power.

[X] Nullify

[X] Ranald

Ranald is far more risky, @Boney confirmed it. The nobles of Reikland will at least be able to bear a wizard heir, a secret Ranaldite heir on the other hand would likely face rebellion and death if found out. By contrast Nullify is something Mathilde would think of as crippling the kid since she thinks magic is a blessing.
